Posted - May 20 2007 : 10:39:30 AM These are random projects and things I have been working on.
Apron Addiction
Berry Basket
Lemon Verbena Soap
Inner Peace, Honey & Lavender soaps
I am also working on a 16th century dress in red silk from a painting, a big tote bag, I just need to line it and figure out what kind of straps I want on it, a wrap style baby sling, and I still need to make about 200 lbs of soap... But I will be posting more pictures as I finish and find other things to put on my plate.

Posted - May 23 2007 : 4:09:20 PM I agree. such cute things. Speaking of soap. My Mom and Grandmothers use to make that nasty lye soap. I hated to use it.It always was to greasy feeling to me. And when I tried to bath with it I never felt quite clean. Pinkroses |

Posted - May 23 2007 : 3:59:11 PM Such cute stuff! I would love to make soap like that. I've only made the old fashioned lye soap that granny used to make. No frills, lol. The berries are adorable!

Posted - May 23 2007 : 3:45:16 PM Jess, RenFair runs Sept thru Oct. We will be building this Summer, so I am not sure where we will be or what aour building will look like.
Megan, I have been in Columbus since 1991. I have been on the hill top for the past 4 years, but I lived in the short north for 8 years and loved it. But at this point, we can not afford to buy in that area. My soaps & candles are in the north market at Better Earth. I do love to go gat lunch there.
The berry basket is growing so! I am kinda addicted to making these. They are totally easy, and you can use up all of the little bits of fabric left over from other projects.

Posted - May 22 2007 : 07:23:05 AM I've been to it a few times. We have a lot of kids so it gets a little pricey but they love it. I was in Columbus for a long time until about two years ago. Now we live only 30 minutes east of Columbus. Have you been there long? I miss some things even though we aren't far. Just went to the North Market last weekend! |

Posted - May 20 2007 : 10:56:53 AM We did out local Viking festival...
2 Viking guys in front of my booth with my 3 yr old.
The shirt my son is wearing I made. I need to make 12 more of these. 4 each for my 2 sons and DH before we start the regular RenFest in Sept. That will be a shirt and a spare each for a weekend. Since it is Horrible Horrible Hot in Sept, I make them out of 100% linen. It seems to be the coolest and geeze Linen wears like iron. The Hat was made by a soapmaker friend in the San Fran area. She knit one for each of the boys... I just love them.
