So I've rented a craft booth space (see taking a leap thread in entrepreneur section) and now I am dreaming up a good display. Since I will be selling home decor accessories, some apparel, and correspondence, I thought a "homey" setting would be nice that I can decorate and stock according to the season.

I found this lovely hall bench with mirrors and hooks and I could have pillows or throws on the bench and store a few more inside. The dimensions are perfect for the space.

Do you think this is a good investment? Is there a farmgirl thrifty solution that would be similar in style?

I agree and you can find really neat stuff at places like Goodwill. Table and mirro are awesome and you could get a small wooden peg rack to hang things from. It would be more economical, if that is an issue.

Lizabeth, what a lovely piece! It would certainly add a nice touch to your booth space.

As one "thrifty" suggestion; if you have wall space available, what about a nice hall table with a mirror hanging above it, or a nice picture? If you could find a framed picture or mirror with a heavy enough of a frame you could buy a few nice robe hooks or wood door pull knobs at the hardware store and put them across the top, creating space to hang stuff. The open space below would allow you to display additional pieces. If you can find the table and mirror/picture at a thrift store or yard sale, you can refinish both pieces to match and create something visually similar to the hall tree.

We have a locked glass case at our mall, but I've heard many stories from vendors with open booths; people will look inside/underneath furniture so it may not be a good idea to use the bench space for storage unless it is lockable.
