Posted - May 04 2007 : 05:49:53 AM Hey Knitters!
Not much talk about knitting on this Forum lately, just wondering how your projects are coming along. Does anyone have any socks knit from their Hot Socks Swap yarn to show off? Any other fun knitting going on?
I've just finished one sock from some yummy cotton/bamboo yarn (called Panda Cotton, photo on my blog) and have a hoodie on the needles for Jackson in a recycled cotton yarn. My dye lot issues went away and it's coming along nicely!
What are YOU knitting?
Catherine :)

Posted - May 08 2007 : 05:18:50 AM Nancy Jo, I knit a square dish cloth that you start in a corner, and a round one. What kind would you like to make? Michele |

Posted - May 07 2007 : 5:26:04 PM I went to a machine knitting seminar in Grand Rapids this weekend, and while I was listening/watching the demonstrator, I pulled out the socks I am knitting and kept on working.... I started at the leg, and on one sock I am halfway up the foot, on the other I just finished turning the heel. So, it may take a while, but you can bet I am going to treasure these socks!

Posted - May 05 2007 : 04:14:00 AM Kate, I did a layette this spring and it included two cute washcloths that impressions of baby feet on them with little bobbles for toes. They were really cute. There is a thread with pictures somewhere. I also did a mason-dixon kimono and bib. |

Posted - May 04 2007 : 5:58:48 PM I am knitting some socks, and I have just finished 4 wool soakers for baby Emme, I love them!! I am hooked on knitting soakers, and I love the way her bottom stays cool, and really, how cute is a handknit soaker under a t-shirt?
Oh, I knit a really simple throw, while were living in the motel. I just started on size 11 circulars, and knit a throw in the diagonal dishcloth pattern. It was just what I needed at the time, something mindless and easy to calm me down.
I always have a dishcloth going in the car.
I am going to start a baby set for my sister, who is having a boy this summer. Maybe a layette with a hat, booties, and an afghan...any suggestions? Kate

Posted - May 04 2007 : 10:30:58 AM Well I am trying to finish a pair of socks for my honey. Alpaca and wool. Almost done decreasing after turning the heal. These are the 2 at once on one needle. They turn out so nice. Also working on a doily, once in a while, that I had started maybe a year ago. And always have a dish cloth on a set of needles. So I pick up what ever I feel like doing at the moment. Michele |

Posted - May 04 2007 : 06:38:56 AM Okay, I'm not knitting right now. I'm crochetting a baby blanket for my new grandson who is due in July! It's tiny little granny squares in two shades of blue and white. I also bought some camaflage yarn to make him a hat. His daddy creates goose and duck calls and also hunts. We are all very excited about adding a new little boy to our family. His big cousin, Brody, is two. Susan |

Posted - May 04 2007 : 06:16:00 AM Well, I'm doing some practice socks before I make my Hogwart's socks. Somehow I seem to be knitting inside out. Which I don't think matters but I don't know how I'm doing it. I'm also trying to finish some dishcloths for a mother's day gift for my mom. I have a cotton dress for Juniper, my two year old on the needles but it is very slow going. |
