Posted - May 03 2007 : 11:22:38 AM I just read in the morning paper that you can buy clothes at Goodwill for $1.39 a pound. I don't know if you have a choice, but wow. You can get a lot of fabric in a pound. A woman in the paper buys it and then goes through it for stuff she can sell on Ebay. A good extra income source, too.

Posted - May 03 2007 : 3:11:08 PM Hmm....I'll have to check it out. I found a beautiful Scotland wool men's blazer for 50cents at the local thrift. I washed it and it is waiting to become a hat with a flannel lining...also 50cents. Hmmm...Off to the GW tomorrow and see what I can get for $1.39!!
thanks Patricia! G

Posted - May 03 2007 : 2:23:22 PM If nothing else, you could make a good crazy quilt or something out of random GW fabrics. What a great tip! I should go see if our GW does that also. I bet you can get a lot of fabric in a lb!

Posted - May 03 2007 : 11:46:59 AM wow, I'll have to ask @ the G.W. store over in Simi Valley. I usely bee-line for the 99cent rack. which is also a good deal. I bought a brand new (labels still on) blue velvet dress for 99cents, gave it to my niece to craft pillows out of.
