Posted - Nov 06 2013 : 08:28:23 AM If you use too many ashes in your gardens the soil could become too alkaline. Always pull a soil test first. Also ashes get tracked in the house and make a mess

Posted - Nov 05 2013 : 12:11:07 PM wood ashes are wonderful..besides using to prep a garden they are wonderful dusted under trees & bushes. they are also great to use in your compost, just add a layer in between the other materials as you add the layers,it also helps break down the materials faster.
