Hi Ladies,

If anyone is interested in creating a mini junk journal kit, please sign up below.

This would consist of one mini junk journal something 4x6 or smaller that could also fit into some sort of a holder, tin, box, fabric pouch or evie along with epherema, lace, ribbon, a few embellishments. Something that you could slip in a purse or travel bag to take on the run!

A couple ideas I found for inspiration:

Debbie, me too I collect all kinds of vintage Ephemera,1940 Valentines, Christmas cards, print ads,Ticket stubs from 40 years of concerts, old weekly readers from elementary school, comics from the newspaper, I have a 1938 Thanksgiving telegram, ticket book for bank Christmas club savings from 1941. I love vintage letters. Cards from the 1940's are my favorites!Anything made of paper is Ephemera and considered to be temporary!I am so glad my Granny and others saved it!!

Thank you ladies for helping each other... I was incognito this last weekend, still fighting the CRUD!

Dianna, Yes, you can do a blank or blankish journal, you can decorate a few pages, all pages, and include extra bits and bobs so the recipient can decorate further. A pen, stickers, decorative papers, ribbons, paperclips, etc... etc... What ever you would like to do!! I was striving a for a mini kit this round, something to get someone started, something that could be closed up in a pouch or ditty bag or tin and thrown in a purse or overnight bag. Hope that helps!!

Ephemera to me, is little bobs and bits of paper (decorative) die cuts, stickers, ribbons, etc. :)

Ephemera are
things that exist or are used or enjoyed for only a short time.
"there were papers, letters, old boxes—all sorts of ephemera"
items of collectible memorabilia, typically written or printed ones, that were originally expected to have only short-term usefulness or popularity.
"Mickey Mouse ephemera"
Of course I got this from the dictionary.
Ephemera is all the little things I love to collect and I can never have enough.
I hope that helps Marlene.

Big Hugs,
Debbie

April, these are to be PARTS of a journal that can be made by the recipient, right? Not a full blown already created journal? Embellishments, front and back pieces,, page ephemera? you for clarifying!! :)
Of course my theme will be nature filled items! :)
