Every year on the second weekend of September my little community hosts a Fall Festival. It is a weekend of fellowship usually in between wheat, corn and soybean harvests. A chance for visiting, showing off your garden success, sharing your summer adventures and eating a lot of good pie made by the church ladies.
I thought it would be fun to share a fall festival in a box with our farmgirls.
For this swap you can pack up anything that you think would be perfect for a fall festival. Some ideas might be a scarecrow (we actually have scarecrow building contests.) Something created that has fall leaves, pumpkins, gourds, sunflowers etc. in it. A jar of jam you have canned this summer from your garden bounty, a bag of herbs you have dried from your herb bed…. The possibilities are endless.

Hi Heather, I want to thank you for the wonderful package. I love it all, girl you did way too much. Everything just goes together, the mug with the soup with the bowl warmers. The tea to the desert. You thought of everything down to the dish cloths and drying mat. And two great recipes to try. The one for the pumpkin cookies is going to be my next thing to bake. Then I can enjoy a cup of tea and a cookie while I read one of the books you sent. You sure know how to treat a farmgirl

Joyce, your package arrived to day too and it was full of wonderful surprises! I am looking forward to trying out your homemade Raspberry chutney and Raspberry/blueberry jam, trying out your handmade cinnamon spice soap, those adorable crocheted pumpkin coaster , and pretty fall themed kitchen towels! I would post a photo here but for some reason now , my computer wont' send and place pictures here at MJF chatroom. So frustrating and not sure why because I have posted photos for years. Anyway, thank-you so much for my wonderful fall goodies and I am delighted that you enjoyed what I gathered together for you. Happy Fall and Thank-you again for being my swap buddy for this exchange!!

Winnie - I got my package in the mail today!! The tea towel is so pretty - thank you! It will go on display :) I love the little mug rug too. I especially like the Baker's Guide to Apples - I'm going to be using that a lot - and the bookmark is great for my apple recipes ;) The notecards are so sweet - I find it hard to find nice note cards in Canada, so these are a special treat! Thank you for such a lovely swap!!

The sea salt caramel popcorn topping sounds wonderful! I love all the homemade pumpkin goodies, and the peach jelly looks delicious. But my favorite thing is that little tiny book!!!!!
That's a Werther's original beside it so you can all see how tiny it is. It's amazing!!! I bet I've flipped though it 5 times already LOL!
