Hello Summer! Summer will finally be here before you know it. And who does not love summer!
Our Theme this month is “A Day at the Beach,” fun right? What does spending a day at the mean to you. Those of us who live close to the ocean spends time at the beach and it is amazing! If you do not live by the beach do you vacation on the beach or do you dream of spending a day at the Beach. Perhaps it is on your Bucket list to go to the Beach.
Share with us your vision of A Day at the Beach.

Artist trading cards (ATCs) are miniature pieces of art that are traded around the world. Artists create, trade and collect art at organized "swap" events, either in person or online. The only official rule for ATCs is the size: 2.5" x 3.5". Artist Trading Cards are the same format as modern trading cards (hockey cards or baseball cards). Alternately you may choose to use a round ATC Coin of 2.5" diameter. They are self-made unique works or small series, signed and dated on the reverse by the artist/producer, exchanged and collected by the people who participate in the collaborative performance.
Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are a conceptual art project initiated by the Swiss artist M. Vanci Stirnemann. He called it a Collaborative Cultural Performance. In 1997 he created 1200 cards by hand as part of an exhibit. On the last day, he invited others to create their own cards and trade with him during the closing reception. The movement took off, and today, there are ATC swaps in almost every major city around the world!
You can make ATCs with many different media including paper, fabric, felt, metal, wood, clay, paint, stamps, embellishments and more. There are tons of ideas and inspiration available online if you google ATC or Artist Trading Cards.

So how awesome is this Terri that you'd bike for MS AT Lake Erie??? How wonderfully delightful that sounds! Thank you for my ATC, I love it! The nice note and craft hanger! I'm sorry the po lost your first one. You shouldn't have worried. But it came at a perfect moment and made me smile and appreciate life so much!

Using cork for the sand is ingenious! And the layering of the paint was perfect! The shells add just enough. I will use the stickers to enliven my school planner for this school year.

Oh Judith! I'm so sorry! Its so hard! I just lost my almost 17 yr old Casanova July 4th. We were alone but together. Hardest thing ever to day goodbye after so many faithful years isn't it? Hopefully Tico brought you a smile. Thank you again beautiful lady!! Hugs
