Happy Summer!
We are having such fun with the Traveling Craft Swap - we've decided to keep the adventure going.
Here’s how it works:
The first person fills up a flat rate box with all kinds of craft items to share/pass on. The box is mailed to the first swapper on the list. The next person receives the box, goes through and takes out what she wants and adds her stuff to the box. Whether she takes a lot or little is up to her, but she has to fill the box up again for the next person on our list.
This is a fun way to pass on supplies you don’t use anymore and you never know what treasures you might find. Please package up smaller items to keep them from getting lost. It also makes the box neater and easier to pack.
We’ll mail using a large flat rate box so shipping will be the same for everyone. Currently the large flat rate box (square) is $21.10.
When you receive the box, please post here and let us know you have received it. We can shoot for a 7 day turn around; post when you have shipped it on to the next person on the list. Please include the tracking number as it will be fun to “watch” our box travel.
I closed this at 7 - since it's summer and we could all use some crafty time inside to keep cool I will ship out at the end of this week.

Hi everyone!
Our 13th box has returned to me - its journey is complete!
Thanks to you all - every round has been a success thanks to all of you - and our postal friends.
I found a few things to keep and hopefully use. The rest will find a good home. I am going to take a brief swapping break. I am taking a Master Gardener class, my son is a senior in high school and my daughter is expecting her first baby in November…. But keep collecting those supplies. We’ll kick off another round soon.

I've been busy since receiving the 13th Traveling Craft Box. A big thank you to whoever put in the Hunting scrapbooking kit. It was perfect for the fall themed envelope swap I'm in (not MJF). I wanted you to see what I created with it. The only addition I made were the feathers. Everything else was in the kit..jpg?v 86287695)
Cool swap. I create and send ten envelopes all the same or different in any medium I choose, and I receive ten back all different. I've been doing this mail art swap for years and have a magnificent collection of envelopes.
The traveling box is going to the post office today for its final journey back to LauraBell. Thanks so much Laura for this fun round robin craft box. Wonderful fun.

Oh yay! It always makes me happy when we can find fun and useful stuff in our box.
Me - Right now I am a quilter, cross stitcher, embroiderer, wool worker - I also have a grand baby on the way in November (oh my) so baby projects will be happening soon!
Have fun with those quilt books :)

Woo Hoo Wanda the Warrior sent me the 13th Traveling Craft box which I opened and went through a little while ago. I don't know who to thank for two more Anita Gooddesign machine embroidery CD"s, but they are awesome!! Thank you. Thank you "sew" much. Can't wait to try those designs. I'm in a (not MJF) envelope swap and have been undecided what to do for the next one due soon. A big thank you to whoever put in the hunting related scrapbooking paper with embellishments -- Perfect!! It's quite chilly this afternoon so I think I'll go do a look through the neat quilting books from the box so I can put them back in -- I don't need anymore books. LOL. But I might keep the one on machine quilting . . . . we'll see after I look through it. Now I have to fill the box back up. Got a stack of things ready to go, but I may need more to fill it up before I send it on to Laura. Any special interests, Laura, so I can tailor my offerings for you? One thing for sure that's going in is a tube of glitter. Here's how to explain Covid in crafters terms -- "You are crafting with seven friends. One of you is using glitter. How many projects have glitter on them?"

UPDATE: We signed up for “Informed Delivery” through the USPS
and it says the package is out for delivery today. So I will be home on Friday
and will turn it around as quick as possible!!

I have been patiently waiting for it! It was not delivered to me on Monday before I went out of town, but I am away from home for two more days, so if it got delivered I will find it Friday. I never saw a tracking number though, so I can’t tell if it has been delivered.

Yeah sometimes I want to ship him out. He is a chest hugger who doesn't take care with his claws. Those things are the same as fish hooks in the skin! He is an absolute sweetie though.

The box arrived and I found a few goodies. The poor box was rather battered and banged up from its journey so I'll have to go to the PO and get another box so it probably won't go out until Tuesday.

That looks like a happy cat and it looks like you found lots of treasures - how fun!
I think we'll take a quick break before we start our 14th traveling craft box. This will give us all time to finish up summer and get ready for fall. So keep collecting supplies - I know I'll always have plenty - and hopefully I'll get another box started in September.
Looking forward to seeing what you all find when the box visits you!

I mailed the 13th box yesterday and it says it should arrive today. I am in Comfort to pick up my son from summer camp. I joked with the postman that I should have just delivered it to Pipe Creek!

Okay swapping friends!
I am packing up our box today - there are 7 of us this round. I will warn you :) that my sister and I are merging our sewing and craft rooms and this box is going to be full of fun. I will definitely need a 14th box just based on what we have already gathered together.
