Hi Swapping Farmgirl Friends,

We are having such fun with the Traveling Craft Swap - we've decided to keep the adventure going.

Here’s how it works:

The first person fills up a flat rate box with all kinds of craft items to share/pass on. The box is mailed to the first swapper on the list. The next person receives the box, goes through and takes out what she wants and adds her stuff to the box. Whether she takes a lot or little is up to her, but she has to fill the box up again for the next person on our list.

This is a fun way to pass on supplies you don’t use anymore and you never know what treasures you might find. Please package up smaller items to keep them from getting lost. It also makes the box neater and easier to pack.

We’ll mail using a large flat rate box so shipping will be the same for everyone. Currently the large flat rate box (square) is $21.10.

When you receive the box, please post here and let us know you have received it. We can shoot for a 7 day turn around; post when you have shipped it on to the next person on the list. Please include the tracking number as it will be fun to “watch” our box travel.

We’ll limit this swap to 10 swappers and sign-ups will be open through May 10. Our first box will mail out by May 14th.

Here’s our list of swappers so far:
1. darlenelovesart - Darlene - Received and shipped
2. lovingRchickens - Kelly - Received and shipped
3. JeanP - Jean - Received and shipped
4. churunga - Marie - Received and shipped
5. Blessed in Colorado - Debbie - Received and shipped
6. StitchinWitch - Judith - Received and shipped
7. nndairy - Heather - Received and shipped
8. Wanda Sue - Wanda - Received
9. LauraBell - Laura

If you are a new craft box swapper, please email me your mailing address so I can include the mailing list in the box. When you receive the box, just cross off your name and send it to the next Farm Girl on the list.

I've already started collecting fun supplies for you all!

Laura

Ladies I received the craft box yesterday!! I had overnight guests so I haven't opened it yet, which
was very hard! This thing is so heavy, I can’t wait to go through it this weekend. I will be sending it
off to Laura on Monday.

A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel.

I can't believe it -- the post office actually delivered something early! The box was waiting for me on the front porch this morning. My faith in mankind is being restored...
I found treasure. I also found a couple of items I had put in the previous box so I removed them to my Goodwill box to make room to put newer things in. I'll get it off on its journey probably Tuesday.

Yay! Looks like you found some treasures in our box.

I've posted the 13th box - sign ups are a little slow but it's summertime and we might all be staying cool and spending some relaxing time in our gardens and with our family.

Have a great weekend everyone!

I sent the box out two days ago to Darlene (BlessedinColorado). The tracking number is 9505515426811174597601 and should arrive on June 28th.

I found a few things I wanted.

Of course I just had to have the yarn and the shawl pattern. These will be used together. Look for some shirts made out of the swap fabric in the future. The Sparkler quilt instructions are a variation on the log cabin square which also may contain some swap fabric. I grew up using Aunt Martha's iron on embroidery patterns. I just couldn't resist. I loved the little dolls in the box and couldn't take them because I didn't know how to use them. They are very pretty. I added some patterns, a kit and a few small things.

Marie -- Get some sleep! The box will not melt.

I just thought it's travels were interesting. From Deary to Washington, back to Deary, then on it's journey to you. The post office could sure have eliminated a couple of trips. No wonder they are having problems. What they need is a good dose of common sense.

Yes, I have received it. I can't open it until sometime on Monday. I've worked 5 zombie shifts in a row and tonight is my last one for a week. Please forgive me. My whole life is out of whack.

LMAO -- Just for fun (and to avoid housework) I looked up the tracking number to see how the box journey was proceeding. Fortunately it was apparently delivered.

Hello crafty gals . . . Here's an update on the wandering 12th Traveling Craft Box. It left Deary, Idaho on June 10 and spent two days in Spokane. Then it meandered over to Kent, Washington its last known resting spot. I received a tracking notice this morning telling me it would be arriving late but no indication as to where it was actually located at the moment. Let's all keep our fingers crossed and hope the USPS Guardian Angels are looking after it and will get it to Marie soon.
