Your REAL partner is EVERYONE. Yep. That’s right, no foolin’. And, no post office woes to worry about. And no tucks to gather – just an easy peasy email swap. Now, here’s what you do –
1. Take two photos of your book or better yet to assure the right size, scan them. One standing that shows the cover and one of the flat page.
2. Save them as PDF’s or JPEG’s
3. Post the standing one on the MINI BOOK forum page for all to see
4. Send the flat one to everyone on the email list I have already sent you
5. If you absolutely LOVE tucks and feel naked without one (I could use one under my eyeballs – but that’s another topic) then send a link with your email to a favorite artsy site.
Now the real fun begins – you are going to receive 19, yes nineteen, mini books. Mine is on the way to start things off. You will have to fold them yourself. A nice start to a great Mini Book collection. With the samples I have already sent, you should end up with around 25 of these little gems. . . Watch the forum for more on this topic.
MINI BOOK
Have you ever dreamed of writing a book? Well, here’s your chance. Yes, you CAN do it. This book will only be 8 pages long and you can easily create it from a single sheet of paper. You will design its cover, create its contents and produce the final product all on your own. With a little help, of course. Front cover – back cover – 6 pages of content. What content you ask? Well, it can be as simple as pictures of your 6 favorite flowers or birds, 6 favorite recipes, a “to do” list, a gratitude journal, 6 pages of collage, rubber stamping or embroidery or favorite quotes or funny cartoons, jokes, -- any subject you choose . . . maybe a little book of pix from the Dotee doll or Feed Sack swaps. Or how about “6 Ways I Survived Coronamadness”?
When you sign up, I will then send to your private email address full instructions for making a one-page mini book as well as links to some great free sites for ideas and samples. And here’s a fun plus to this swap, once your design is complete, you can save a PDF or JPG file of your creation and send it to all your friends, family and Farmgirl sisters by email, or print multiple copies and send by snail mail. How cool is that?

Hi Patsy -- This looks awesome. If you have saved it as a jpg file and it only prints part of it. Perhaps you just need to change the orientation from portrait to landscape or visa versa. The full copy came through here so try that.

I’m am still unable to email my mini book out.
Got the book downloaded. When I sent it out to me
and tried to print it out It out it printed only part
of the book. I will show it here now. Hopefully I
will get my computer fixed soon. So for now
I am sorry for not emailing my book to you.

I have received delightful mini books from Marilyn and Terri. In looking through all that I have received, I am amazed at the creativity and talent I see. These little books are so special to me -- each and every one. Thank you so much to all who played. Hope you make more. I will be scanning these two later today and sending them to the swappers. Well, ladies, I am definitely late now. I will be going back and forth to Richmond for the next few weeks so I am behind in all my swaps. I think it is best if I just drop out of this one.
All of your mini books I have seen have been wonderful. If I can get to working on one, I will send it.

I am not sure how to get better photos to everyone. And, I am not sure I have everyone's address or how I can get this mailed to you as I too do not have a scanner. I could use my cell phone to take a picture but, I am still working to get things from my phone to my email. I have had the story in my head. It just took time to get it into mini-book style. Hope you enjoy.

 This is my effort! My hands do not cooperate very well, but when I folded and cut the slit in the paper, this is what came to mind.
I had a Tomie dePaola book of Bible stories...that I cut a few pictures from. I love his "first grader" style artwork.
May God bless each of you with a good remainder of spring. It feels like winter here in Texas this morning. 35° at 8 am...on the 21st of April!
