Posted - Aug 24 2020 : 1:37:35 PM Hello sisters! Oh my, how the year is flying! Suddenly, Fall is looming just around the corner! In honor of that, I was thinking we could maybe do fall themes/colors for the September, October, and November swaps. So keep that in mind when thinking ahead about your dish cloths!
All that is needed is one cotton dish cloth. Can be crocheted, knitted, simple, fancy...You get the picture! :) Tucks are not required.
Sign up is now until September 14th with partners posted on the 15th and mail out on the 16th.

Posted - Oct 04 2020 : 03:25:09 AM Hey Margaret! The swap for September is over, but if you look for the October cotton dishcloth swap, that is the one that is currently open. Just comment on that thread that you would like to be added and I'll get your name on the list for that month! :) As for what extra goodies, it varies. They are not required at all, and with postage so high, we've been trying to keep things affordable. You don't need to send any extras at all, but if you really want to, I would say small and light. I usually include some teabags with mine, as they are very light and I always have some lying about. I have received recipes, origami pretties, even yummy soap! It just depends on the individual. I hope to see you in the October swap!

Posted - Oct 01 2020 : 11:50:21 AM Wish I could claim the idea as all my own. It was in the pattern and Grandma always did it. So, I figured I should continue the custom. Glad you like. Enjoy.

Posted - Sep 26 2020 : 8:08:04 PM I received the dishcloth from Debbie.
Along with the lovely orange dishcloth, I was given a tea candle and 3 bags of tea: Twining's English Breakfast, Tradition Medicinals Night Night and Stash Orange Spice.
To answer your question, I save mine and am currently crocheting them together as time allows.

Posted - Sep 25 2020 : 11:46:38 AM I have had to start over. I took the project along to my parents' place and left it there. My parents seem not to have put it in the mail. I have started another one and I will be late sending it out.

Posted - Sep 19 2020 : 2:57:19 PM I hope to join a dish cloth swap in the near future... I used to crochet and knit when I was growing up, haven't since, have forgotten the art... BUT... I recently bought myself some crochet hooks, knitting needles and pretty yarn to work on over the winter months. We'll see if I can teach myself some new tricks. I can't wait to see all your pretty creations!
