Posted - Aug 17 2020 : 12:09:58 PM Hi everyone! Thought I would try a different kind of swap. I’d like to have us swap anything you would consider to be tucks, with a few guidelines:
—Let’s keep it to 3 kinds of tucks, so, if you send tea, for instance, you could send 2-3 packets and that would only be counted as one kind of tuck. —Let’s keep the total value of your package $5 or under for this one. — Tucks can be store-bought or handmade, but simple things. Just small bits of sunshine for your partner. —Many of you know what sorts of things others on this forum are interested in, if you do not, you can learn just by exploring other swaps or threads in other sections of MJF. But feel free to share new things with others, too, sometimes it’s fun for us to get outside of ourselves just a little bit. —Aim for fitting your tucks in an envelope- any size.
Sign-ups will be til Aug. 31. Partners posted Sept. 1ish. Please contact your partner for their address. Mail-outs should be before Sept. 15.
Well, I do not know, this will either be fun or not, but we’ll give it a shot:)
OK, ladies, here are your PARTNERS:
Julie and Cristy Linda (quiltee) and Hannah Jill and Linda (hummingbirdjoy) Marilyn and Vanessa
Have fun swapping!
Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.

Posted - Sep 18 2020 : 1:35:45 PM Jill, Love your beautiful rooster plate and figurine and so glad the hot pads fit in with them. I mailed your package on Sept. 11th and see it took almost a full week to get to you. I was concerned with the fire situation in California and even here and Oregon but relieved to know it did arrive to you safely. Yes, I did make the apple themed card. This was a fun exchange. Thanks Alise for hosting.

Posted - Sep 17 2020 : 10:27:30 PM Linda (hummingbird), I received your package and I'm loving it!! The hot pads are adorable and I've included a picture with my favorite things from my kitchen so you can see how perfectly they will fit in! And the tissue is beautiful, I love crafting with paper and will put them to good use, just like the exquisite note card! Whomever (or is it whoever...?) I send that to will feel very special, indeed. And did you make the card with the apples theme? It's beautiful! Thank you for the sweet note inside it. I loved the package you put together for me, thank you!!!

Posted - Sep 16 2020 : 5:37:14 PM Marilyn, I was thrilled to get your package today! I love the ruffled ribbon and the garland (I may add bells to it). The labels are so pretty and the corner holders are all unique - I will use them to mark my favorite recipes. And last, but not least the taffy. I feel spoiled! Thank you.

Posted - Sep 15 2020 : 12:26:37 PM Jill, Thanks so much for all the fun things you sent me. Loved how you had them wrapped with the pretty orange ribbon too. The packable zippered tote will come in handy and I'll definitely be using the paper embellishments and cute little "hedgie" card. Can't wait to try the lemon grass and ginger peach teas. I'm an avid reader so the tasseled fabric bookmark will be frequently used. Thanks so much for being my partner and for such an amazing package. Oh yes, the pistachios will be a fun treat.

WOW! A fay earlier than the USPO said it would arrive.
I am so glad you like what I made and chose for you. I love making those fabric ribbons. They can be used in many ways and can also be made so differently each time - and use up scraps of fabrics.

And thank you so much for the little munchies as well! The best part is that the hubby HATES coconut, so I don't even have to share my cookies! Hehe!
