I still have my teas sitting here ready to mail to Beth when I hear from her... it appears she may have evacuated from the fires we've been having here Oregon according to another swap thread I saw... so, Darlene, please don't think I have ignored my partner - I haven't - I'm just waiting to hear from her!! If anyone does have her address, please let me know!

The Rainbows Bridge Poem

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

I am so sorry to hear about your cat Marie, it is hard, my kittie is 18 or 19, but she is strong for little self and eats well.
I keep expecting her to pass on though.

Marie, I'm sorry about your cat. I thought sending you the cat and dog items would cheer you up because your cat was sick! Girly is on the dog fabric too!

I received the package from Darlene.
She sent me a nice card.
Twinnings Chai Spiced Apple Tea, Twinnings Honeybush Mandarin & Orange, Bigelow Salted Caramel (ooowww!), Bigelow Thin Mints
2 10" square pieces of fabric - one with dogs and one with cats
fabric mug rug made with doggie fabric
Unfortunately, my cat died last week. I rented a car and took him to the pet cemetery at my parents' place. Girly, my dog, was with me and cried a little. He was ready to die.

Sherry, I received the teas today. Thank you so much! The card is just perfect. You found teas I have not seen and I can't wait to try them. It is going to be in the 30's tonight so I might just have a cup tonight. Tomorrow morning for sure. Love the coaster too :)

My goodness! Where do y'all find all these wonderful flavors??? It seems like all our stores have the same old standards but nothing exciting. I did find a box of coconut almond tea in time for the next swap, but that was rare!

Oh dear, I see we have two Darlene R's in the swap. My package is on its way to Darlene in Pennsylvania.
To answer Darlene in California's question....yes I am safe. I hope you are too....I havent had time to watch the news but have heard things are pretty bad in parts of CA and OR too. We had fire weather all last week and there were some larger wildfires threatening urban areas within a few miles of here but no evacuations that affected me. Local fire departments were encouraging irrigation of dry areas along roadways so I had a definite increase in service calls at work for a few days while folks who had not been watering suddenly wanted to turn their systems on. Now we just have terrible smoke lingering in the air which has not been fun with my asthma. Rain is predicted in the next few days with some storms expected to blow in some fresh air on Friday. I am so ready for clean air and normal daylight asap!

Vanessa -- Thank you sooooo much for the great September tea swap package. I'm going to try that Myers Lemon tea as soon as I am off the computer. I LOVE all things lemon. The recipes all sound delicious too. In fact I may do the Asian Green Beans tonight as I have everything on hand to make it. Yummo. I have a terrible time with chapped lips. I think it's because I don't drink enough water. So I am anxious to try your local lip balm. Thanks again for your thoughtfulness.
