For this busy time of year lets swap a recipe for a casserole or crock pot meal that is a "fix it and forget it" type of meal.

Barbara your two recipes, lovely letter and all my special goodies arrived today. I loved your letter I think the two of us would get along great. What a blessing your farm must be.
I look forward to trying your recipes and the cute bookmarks will hold my place with my hopes for a Merit Badge or two.

Joanne---I loved your recipe---but where do I get a fennel bulb and can I use fennel seed or something---I do not even really know what fennel is ---after all I am a hillbilly---LOL. Will try for sure. Thanks for the hug coin---will pass it on for sure. Nice to know you. Hope you got my recipe.

Heather! Jill's recipes sound beautiful! I'm sure they make your recipe box look like a treasure! All recipe boxes ARE treasures in my opinion! I have recipes from my grandmother's recipe box, they melt my heart!

April and Jill - both your recipes arrived today and I had to laugh at both:) Great minds really do think alike huh?!? April - you would love what Jill did with her recipes. They're just your style with buttons, ribbons, nice paper and stitching. I wish my camera wasn't broken so I could show them to you. They're wonderful and sound delicious too!
Thank you Jill for such pretty recipe cards. The apple crisp will be great for the apple celebration. Thank you April for the potholders and cute wooden farmgirl spoon. Did you make it? The postcard makes me want to visit Oregon - it looks beautiful! Unfortunately the chocolate bar is no longer the heart shape it says it is LOL!! It was running from side to side when I moved it so I put it in the fridge. It should be good in a bit. The recipes sound delicious too. Thank you both for a great swap.

Heather received your recipes today, thankyou, you are going to laugh one I sent you is close. Husband wants me to make chicken supper tomorrow night. Love your cow stamps. We have a Amish farm in our back yard, always finding there cows in our yard. Thank you again for swapping with me! |

Oh, and Marlene, I too love Gooseberry Patch Cookbooks! They make me so happy. I love all the little drawings and things. Taste of Home and Southern Living have also put out some cookbooks on my favorites shelf.

Jill and April - your recipes are on their way. It took 12 days for an auction brochure to arrive from a place 30 minutes away. So, I have no idea how long it'll take them to get to ME and OR but hopefully not that long LOL!!!
