I'm sure you have been gifted a bottle of wine all dolled up in seasonal attire or in a decorative "Wine Bottle Bag". Wouldn't it be fun to create and share one that has been uniquely designed by you?
For this swap create an attire, or a bag, for a wine bottle (or milk bottle) from any type of material you enjoy working with. It can be fun, formal, botanical or seasonal.
Sign ups until August 29th, partners posted by the the 31st and mail by September 10th. No need to ship the bottle, either full or empty. A short note describing what inspired you to dress your bottle would be fun.

Ida,, enjoy. My kitty tried to help me crochet the bottle towel,, but,, silly kitty,, she kept getting side tract with the ball of yarn!

I received a surprise wine bottle dress from Grade as well. We weren't even partners !!! I love it !! With it came two lavender sachet pouches and a crocheted cloth to match. Thank you, Grace, for your kindness.

Wow! Grace!! Thanks. I just had my husband take pics and was going to post. Thank you for doing so, too. Here are the pix that Ed took.
I love everything you sent - and it was nice of you to drink the wine so the bottles wouldn't break when you mailed the package. Lol!!
 
The embroidered front of the wine carrier is so perfect. And I love the lace ornament you made. The towel will hang proudly on my oven door and the bottle apron will add a conversation piece to my counter. And I love the stickers. Thank you so much for everything!!

My poor swap partner, Linda~quiltee.. had to wait so long to receive her goodies from me,,, and now because she had Rotator Cup surgery, and is home re-couping,, I figured I would post a pic of what I sent.. so she can relax...
I almost kept the wine glass stickers for myself,, but.. .
Hand towel, necklace, apron, complete with pearl necklace and bottle sack.
yepp! "Sip Happens"... lol!
and a dish towel to wipe up the dribble! heeheehee!

Jana, all I can say is, "WOW!" You sent me two absolutely lovely wine bottle dresses or bags or garments...! I love that you have included one inspired by autumn, and one that makes me ready for the holidays, thank you so much! And let me tell you, I think you know me very well because one was filled with hot cocoa mix and the other with hot apple cider mix, my two favorite things as we head toward these cooler months ahead (let's hope, since I am also in SoCal where it's plenty toasty right now!) The fabrics you used, and the technique for two sides, and the buttons and cords are all so luxe, I am feeling plenty spoiled. :)

Oh, Ida Jane, I am soooooo glad you liked it. That was absolutely the most fun project to work on. Hubby bought me a great Viking sewing/embroidery machine last year. And I have been spending quarantine time and swap projects to learn all the bells and whistles. I really can't claim it's any expertise on my part, it's the great software. LOL. Enjoy.

OMG MaryJane - You were so right!! I received the most magnificently quilted, embroidered (on both sides!) and colorful wine tote from Jean P you will ever see. I am in awe of the workmanship and the time it must have taken to create this work of art. With it came what I am told are her signature coasters, a mask (how appropriate), a wine bottle stopper, Blueberry "merlot" tea (how on earth did you find that?), and the 2020 Grapes and Grains guide to wine & beer (I will surely study that). I LOVE every single item!! And, yes, the spiced tea aroma did come back in the box. Thank you from California to Idaho and back ~~

My swap partner, Cristy, really spoiled me! There were so many fun prizes in my box with the wine cover. Those wine glass rings are just adorable! Music, sewing, sun, moon, and my favorite word, Believe were all there. Books on fabric folding and projects to do with yarn. Yummy goodies! The list goes on...Does she know me or what???? She packed a little of everything that is me in that box! Thank you!!!!

Oh my oh my, lookie what I got from Ida Jane Rooney . . . . Is this some fabo crocheting or what. Not only did I receive the beautiful wine dress but along with it came adoreable wine glass cozies, a delightful mulled wine recipe, beautiful "beejeweled" wine stopper, and some yummy tea. When I opened the box the delicious aroma of the spiced tea was magnificent. I am sending her wine dress ensemble to her in the same box hoping the lovely scent lingers . . .  Thank you so much Ida Jane for organizing this swap and for being my oh so creative partner.

Drum Roll plezzz.....
We had 'family dinner' night at our daughters yesterday,, so I got to use my cute farmeresque- "American Gothic" themed wine pouch.. and Meri and I used the 'wine glass saddles,,, but then the girlies wanted to drink their tea in a wine glass in the saddle...so we shared..

I got to spend some time with my neighbor JeanP tonight. She offered me a sneak peak at the wine bottle bag she's been working on. You're gonna love it Ida Jane (Did you score the best name on the planet or what?! Ida Jane Rooney. It puts a smile on my face every time I see it).
