Welcome to the Farmgirls ATC Swap!
Yay! Spring is finally here! April 22nd is Earth Day so for the month of April 2019 lets have an ATC swap with the theme "EARTH DAY". Make one ATC card for your partner using any colors or mediums that you wish. Be creative, try something new, and most of all have fun! Of course if this theme doesn't suit you feel free to create something that you like instead.
NEW DATES: Signups are open thru April 14th. Partners will be posted on April 15th. Mail out deadline will be April 30th.
If you have any fun ideas or suggestions for swaps or themes please share so we can keep this swap fresh and exciting for all to enjoy.
For those who are new to ATC Cards here is what it's all about:
Artist trading cards (ATCs) are miniature pieces of art that are traded around the world. Artists create, trade and collect art at organized "swap" events, either in person or online. The only official rule for ATCs is the size: 2.5" x 3.5". Artist Trading Cards are the same format as modern trading cards (hockey cards or baseball cards). They are self-made unique works or small series, signed and dated on the reverse by the artist/producer, exchanged and collected by the people who participate in the collaborative performance.
Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are a conceptual art project initiated by the Swiss artist M. Vanci Stirnemann. He called it a Collaborative Cultural Performance. In 1997 he created 1200 cards by hand as part of an exhibit. On the last day, he invited others to create their own cards and trade with him during the closing reception. The movement took off, and today, there are ATC swaps in almost every major city around the world as well as right here on Mary Janes Farm!
You can make ATCs with many different media including paper, fabric, felt, metal, wood, clay, paint, stamps, embellishments and more. There are tons of ideas and inspiration available online if you google ATC or Artist Trading Cards.

I have received my card from Debi.
The card is so lovely. She also gave me a packet of gift tags embedded with wildflower seeds, a small insulated snack bag and a sweet-smelling bar of soap. Thank you so much.

Yes Patsy I received your address and your package will go out in the mail tomorrow! I apologize for the delay in getting it mailed....I wound up having to take care of my Dad for a few days this past week because his caregiver was not feeling well.
Marie and Debora....I trust you have connected with each other and your swap is under way?!

I am sorry, but I am not going to join in this month due to problems with my hands. My arthritis makes my hands stiff and painful. I'm working on this problem, but need to take a bit of a break. Thanks ladies.

I had forgotten that Easter is this month so I have adjusted the dates for this swap to avoid conflict with the holiday. Hopefully that helps! Signups thru April 14th, partners on April 15th and mailout deadline April 30th.
It's a beautiful Spring day here so I'm heading out to do some yard work...and try to figure out how to discourage a flicker from digging holes on the side of our house! So far I've tried ribbons and a tennis ball on a string. Next up is a piece of plywood over the hole and some aluminum pie pans hanging from the roof.
