It's that time of year again!! June is National Dairy Month
For this swap you need to send one partner a hand written recipe that uses dairy and a cow something or other (it can be homemade or purchased).
And if your digestive systems allow it - consume a little extra dairy to celebrate this month - dairy farmers could really use the boost.
In my haste to get this posted I forgot a few important details!
Sign ups will run through the 10th.
Mail out by the 20th.

I'm finally able to post a picture! Ye! So this is the nice package Winnie send me. Everything is wonderful and I love that we chose the same pattern! The socks are so cozy too. I love cherries!

I also love old advertising adds and the likes. It gives a light on how people lives in those years. So much has change already. I can't imagine what the next 3 generations will find interesting from this day. Just talking to my nephew about a walkman and he's "that is SO old age!" Funny :) |

Marilou, I am sorry I made a mistake with your name! For some reason, I kept thinking you were a Marilyn. Old age, I think is showing it's relentless pace!! LOL!! But, I sure did love your folder because it had so many little surprises tucked here and there. Plus, all the vintage pictures that you had were fantastic. I love anything vintage. It is quite interesting to also read about products like 7-Up , condensed milk, and the Nestle Milk food baby formula. These things were so new and people loved the fact that they offered a convenience never available before.

Hi Winnie! I'm glad you enjoyed your Cow File Folder! It's actually from me, Marilou.
I had a lot of fun putting it up all together! It was so funny too since your cloth from Maryjane was one of the pattern paper I used!
You can take apart the middle section if you like and use it for something else if you want to use the file folder as, well, a file folder! lol
I love roaming through old paperclips of newspapers and antique ads. Some are quite surprising too! Like the 7up that was a "healthy source of refreshment for babies"!?!
Anyways, I'm glad you enjoyed everything and happy Dairy Month!

Take a look at this fantastic National Dairy Month scrapbook from, Marilyn!! It is truly a work of art and beautiful !!!!! Thank-you Marilyn for such a thoughtful gift that is packed full of vintage dairy pictures and and a few other vintage farm scenes. Plus vintage copies of articles explaining the virtues of Nestle Milk Food, which was a formulated baby formula, and condensed Milk. Also, there are these little pockets full of darling tags that can be used for gifts and some cute cow paper that I think is the beeswax kind that you can use several times. There is so much fun and creativity packed inside this little folder that each time I look through it , I see something new. Such a compact treasure trove of Cow fun!!
Thank-you Marilyn for taking time to create such a unique and artful gift to celebrate National Dairy Month!!

I received your package but I'm having trouble uploading a picture. I'll keep trying but I wanted you to know that it arrived and I LOVE the tote bag!! Totally worth the wait! I'm thinking of adding a little velcro to make sure it stays closed and using it for a purse. Thanks for the book mark and notebook too. The recipe book is great too. Thanks for a great swap!!

Marilou, I am so glad you enjoyed your package. The ruffle on the dishtowel is some of MaryJane's fabric that she released when her new book, Mild Cow Kitchen came out. She raises heritage Jersey cows at her farm and makes the most wonderful milk products and cheese from her girls!!

I just came back from my camping trip (we had a big week-end here!) and what was waiting in my mail box? A wonderful package from Winnie!
It's adorable! I love your dishcloth! I will put it in my kitchen right away! The cheery sock are wonderful too. I love cherries. I could eat a whole bag of them if I'm not careful! I will be sure to try your recipe too. I will post a picture tomorrow.
Your package should be mailed tomorrow. I'm sorry for the delay. It has been crazy here with the end of school and the preparation for summer camp. I was desperately searching fr a bathing cap. Who use them anyways? It was so specific (with color and everything)...
Anyways, thanks for your package. It was so nice coming back home with a surprise waiting for me. And I always love receiving happy mail :)

Heather, I love your cow and baby calf photos. My son has a bottle fed baby calf (not dairy). It's mother had two quarters with no milk. The great big white guard dog named Bear and his baby are never far apart. Sunday they walked from the barn up to my son's house. There I learned that the calf is named Dog! Why?? Because he thinks he is a dog.
