Hi everyone!!!!
We have an unequal amount of gals so here is how it went when I pulled names! Looking very forward to seeing all the beautiful birdies!!! Happy swapping!!!

Happy May 4th!! ( Of course my husband's daughter who happens to be a huge star wars fan, sends a Star Wars email saying 'May the 4th be with you', lol!!!) I love the month of May! There are so many celebrations beginning with this month on through the rest of summer! Our ATC's should be fun for the next few months as well!
Spring is finally here for many of you and early summer for some of us, me for one, and I have noticed so many of my sweet birds returning to nest and have their wee ones! I TREASURE their sweet melodic songs and watching them busying about building their nests! I love them! SO, how about a BIRD THEMED ATC for the month of May???
What say you? Are you in? I know we are still working on the Earth Day ATC's but I hope you'll join in on creating some tweet tweet birdy cards!
Sign up's until May 20th, partners assigned May 21 and mail outs on the 28th.
If you are new to the swap here is a brief description:
Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) is a conceptual art project initiated by the Swiss artist M. Vänçi Stirnemann in 1997. He called it a Collaborative Cultural Performance. Artist Trading Cards are 2 1#8260;2 by 3 1#8260;2 inches (64 mm × 89 mm) in size, the same format as modern trading cards (hockey cards or baseball cards). They are self-made unique works or small series, signed and dated on the reverse by the artist/producer, exchanged and collected by the people who participate in the collaborative performance.[1]

Deborah it is absolutely wonderful! I love hand drawn or painted cards!! What a coincidence that bird reminds Marilyn of one she had!! I pray y'all are safe now?? ( Deborah)

Here is the wonderful hand drawn ATC I received from Deborah! I had a pet Canary who followed me all over the house when I was little so this brings back lots of happy memories. And I just love the little bluebird pin on it! Sorry it has taken me so long to post. Thanks for being my swap partner Deborah!

Marilou, it arrived, yeah! And so sweet! The birdie is so darling, I just love her! And all the extra little birdies that flew down with her- they're all wonderful. I will enjoy including some of them in future artwork or notecard covers. Thank you so much!

Linda, I'm happy you had fun making your ATC because it is really beautiful!
I noticed that all the mail transiting from US to CANADA (and vice-versa) always takes a lot of time. If you ever have another swap with a Canadian partner, please don't be anxious; it takes a while but it's always received.
Alise, I'm sure it is just a matter of time before it reaches you but I just wanted to make sure that you are not left out. It is so fun to exchange little pieces of art work with everyone and I like doing those so it wouldn't be such a bad thing. I would have a great "excuse" to go in my craftroom :)

Marilou, I will surely pray you won't have to make me another one! The thought of losing artwork in the mail is very sad for me to think about. Though, I do understand things happen- my husband actually just started working as a mailman last fall, so I can sympathize with their end of things, too.

Hi Marilou, yes, I, too, am waiting for your beautiful artwork. I knew it took a bit longer to have the mail pass between the two countries, but have been a bit surprised by the length of delay. Patience is a virtue, though, and you can't have it without developing it, so I'm good to go:)

thought it might take a bit longer but was hoping it would have arrived within a week but I

I'm sorry Linda. Yours haven't reach me yet but I'm sure it will! As Darlene said, it does take an awful lot of time to get to me; must be something with Quebec! lol The outgoing post too take a lot of time. I almost never had a package never reach me so I'm sure it will be waiting for me Monday! I will let you know as soon as it reachs me!

linda, I had Marilou once in a swap, mine took a little longer to get to her because of the mail system and going to Quebec, Hers coming to me was long too, but it came and I was so pleased to see her art work.
