Wahoo for February!!!
There are so many different events going on in February I decided to chose a really fun and colorful one! Mardi Gras!! So lets party with our ATC'S and bring a little FUN and COLOR into our long gray winter!!!
So the last day for sign up is the 15th of February and partners will be posted February 16th send off date is Feb. 25th!
JIC we get some new sign ups the following info will help:
any type of medium you want to use (AND SHAPE) as long as the card is standard size of 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 heavy cardstock or prepared cardboard from cereal boxes and such. You may sew, paint, mix media, fiber, etc. for your trade. Be sure to sign the backs and title it and date it! As always, have fun!
Again, if you are new to ATC's here is a brief description:
Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) is a conceptual art project initiated by the Swiss artist M. Vänçi Stirnemann in 1997. He called it a Collaborative Cultural Performance. Artist Trading Cards are 2 1#8260;2 by 3 1#8260;2 inches (64 mm × 89 mm) in size, the same format as modern trading cards (hockey cards or baseball cards). They are self-made unique works or small series, signed and dated on the reverse by the artist/producer, exchanged and collected by the people who participate in the collaborative performance.[1]

Our mail boxes were broken into last weekend so I was extra excited when I received 5 happy mail envelopes at the main post office today.

Hi Joan and Jutta!!! It REALLY does take a while for mail to be delivered out of country! Patience certainly is a virtue when mailing out! Not to mention the awful weather and storms around the country! It can take up to a MONTH sometimes depending on varying circumstances!! Did you have a tracking slip Joan? ALWAYS a good idea to have one as it gives you peace of mind!! I know Jutta will post once she receives it! It's just been a crazy winter! hang tight!!! :) Have a great weekend everyone!!

Hi Joan,
Still not here and I've been to the mail almost every day this week including today. But what I did have in my mail today was a Christmas card with the wrong address returned to us that I sent to our Aunt on the 12th of December. So don't worry it will show up it's just taking the scenic route.

Has everyone gotten their ATC's? I hope so and if you can post your images ok? They are always fun to see! Thanks again everyone for participating! beads. I have never seen any like them before.
I have never been to Mardi Gras. I have only seen bits on the news or still photos, so to draw you as my partner...let's just say I'm feeling a bit inadequate. I will add a photo tomorrow. Thank you.
