Hi Everyone,
As promised it's time for another Heart Swap. Number 8. Wow! They have all been lots of fun. Hope this one will be also.
The rules will stay the same.
One Heart for one partner.
Any medium you enjoy. Paper, wood, fabric, metal, painted, crochet, knit, stitched, molded, carved. Anything your little heart desires goes. Just make it pretty. A Valentine theme would be nice, but not required. Tuck-ins as you like.
Sign up until January 31st. Mail out by February 3rd.
So get started on your Heart project. Who doesn't like Hearts.

Hi Marilou! Thank You, I am so glad you like the oven mitt! It is cotton with InsulBright. Just machine wash and dry. I prewashed the fabric before I put it together so there should not be any shrinkage. You could also just wash and hang to dry, whichever suits you. :-)

I received my heart packages from Brenda and Ruthie Ann today. I love these swaps. Thank you both, Brenda and Ruthie Ann.
Brenda sent me a heart potholder and a chicken potholder that she made, in addition to one of her special hearts, a chocolate bar, a gold heart ornament, and a heart-shaped cookie cutter.
Ruthie sent me a hand painted heart plaque, a Valentine napkin, and some Valentine hearts-with-saying stickers.

Debbie, I received your fabulous package! Thank you so much for the heart shape oven mitten! It is so cute! You are talented with a sewing machine. I'm not sure I can even sew a straight line! *chuckle* I will post a picture tomorrow. How do you wash it, by hand? Is there a special care needed? I want it to stay as prestine as it is :)

Jill,I am amazed by the lovely felt heart. The beads glow against the leaves and flowers! I can see crafting possibilities in the wooden heart and flower (I'm even saving the tissue paper). One of the teas hid in the envelope and missed the picture, but I'll enjoy all of them. The calendar fits perfectly in my little purse and will help me remember which day it is! Thank you so much!

Linda, Thank You, Thank You!! I absolutely love all of the Hearts you sent. I'm thinking of hanging the bag in my Craft Room to store what else, but hearts for sending out. The blue flower heart will be hung somewhere special. Love the chocolate, hankies, and the assorted hearts. Some of the metal hearts will probably make it on to hearts to share. The red glass is going on my hutch.
So sorry to be late sending yours. The Snow has finally quit as of this am. Will get it out soon. We stayed home from church again today. The next few days will bring some thawing, then more snow. Yay! It's winter...lol

I didn't have all the colors, so I improvised. The cross stitching went quickly (thanks to being retired) and it was fun making the pillow cover. I am so glad that you like them!

Linda was hoping to get your package in tomorrow's mail, but we have a major snow storm coming during the night and lasting thru till Sunday. Possibly a foot of snow. I probably won't be able to get to the P O till the beginning of the week. I have a piano lesson tomorrow a block away from the P O and will be canceling that also.
Your package hasn't come yet. It may be delayed due to weather. Will let you know when it comes.

Vanessa, my goodness what a wonderful cushion!! And what a lot of beautiful work went into it!! It is absolutely lovely. I haven't done any cross stitch for a while, but this makes me feel like getting back into it. Where did you find the pattern? Wow, I'm feeling really spoiled. My husband will be really pleased too, when he sees it, as he has been wanting to add blue to our living room (most of our furniture is brown). The cushion inside is beautiful too. And thank you also for the facial cleanser, hankie and tea! Thank you so much for being my partner!!

Connie, when the girls were little I put those paper dolls on magnetic sheets, then cut them out. Then while I was cooking washing dishes, folding laundry, etc. They could play paper dolls on the refrigerator door.

Wow just got my package from my sweet farmgirl friend Connie. You put a lot of work into this lady. I love it. My heart swag is already hung up at the coffee bar to see it every morning. The beautiful felt envelope with the sweet stuffed hearts melted my heart, and OH my that chocolate. One of my favorites are strawberry's covered with chocolate. This is decadent.
