Posted - Jan 28 2018 : 2:54:44 PM Connie, you and your husband should go on a train ride. My mother saved and saved, then bought four one way tickets from Snyder, Texas to LA. She had three sisters in LA. She packed a picnic cooler, so we ate sandwiches. But the morning before we arrived we had breakfast in the dining car. Awesome! Shake rattle and roll. I was 13, my sister was 11 and my brother was 10. We rode back to Texas with my aunt, uncle and vousin.

Posted - Jan 27 2018 : 04:47:03 AM My Dad used to work with New York Central RRvas a laborer. But we were a Railroad town, and I loved to watch the big “puffer bellies” . Not the best for the environment, but a lovely childhood memory.

Posted - Jan 22 2018 : 5:41:10 PM Rebecca I love trains, that is how I learned to count to 176. That seemed to be the number of cars on quite a few trains that passed through the country side, near our home when I was six. Beautiful just beautiful photo. Thank you.

Posted - Jan 16 2018 : 5:35:34 PM Today I received 2 more wonderful cards.
Connie, thanks for your darling vintage stove card (complete with coffee brewing atop!) What cute mittens inside and loved all the colorful confetti. Such a neat card to open and liked all the detail on the stove.
Mary, thanks also for your super sweet gal sledding above the line of penguins. Your "Penguin Zoo Days" reminded me of our trip to see the colorful "Zoo Lights" at Christmas in Tacoma at their zoo. Night time darkness really helped show off all the colorful christmas light shapes and decorations. Such a darling card and loved the embossed snowflake background.

Posted - Jan 13 2018 : 2:12:13 PM Nora I also received your cute card, very creative! I recycled...my snowmen were cut from the dividers in Whitmans Sampler candy boxes. I was about to toss them in the trash, as my husband had finished his first box, but I wondered if I could peel the vellum type layer off, and it worked.

Marlene, love your card! A New Year Is Beginning! I had a pretty rough 2017. Your card reminded me that there is always hope, to take things one day at a time, and live to love others. Thank You
Marilyn, Your snowman is so adorable! I love all of the mix media that you used to create such a sweet sweet card. Now why did I not think to use cotton on the bottom of my card. You gals are super creative for sure. Also loved the snow flake envelope. Thank you
Nora, Wow! What a cute idea to use bottle caps to fashion your snowman. My granddaughter has bottle caps someone gave her. She is now sitting next to me creating snow people. Love it!!! Thank You
Linda, Linda, Linda, Your card is just to stinkin cute. The snowman picture is so sweet, I just want to put it in my purse with grandkids pictures and claim him as one of my own. LOL! Absolutely ADORABLE!!! Like I have said many times before, if you farmsisters could bottle some of that creativity it would be a money maker for sure. Thank You
I love all of my cards, and I love all of you!

Posted - Jan 13 2018 : 10:39:43 AM Thanks for posting those pics, Connie. I've only received Marlene's so far but I'm sure there will be more soon. I debated on a snowman or other theme and I see the snowman is popular and love the different ideas everyone is coming up with. Marilyn's was super cute with the puffy snow at bottom and darling snowman with ribbon scarf and Deb's, well, I think her snowman had to know about your snow and ice Connie by the looks of your mailbox and all that snow. Sure hope it melts soon and you get mail delivery again before too long.
