*****************************************************************
We're not yet complete with exchanges of our first junk journal swap, but it was already so much fun, I thought I would post a second swap!
This time, I thought it would be fun to create a junk journal that is more scrap book style with thick pages and pockets (to make the pages thick, you may begin with card stock, cardboard, brown paper bags and layer from there). The journal would have approximately 10-12 pages which will create 20-24 pages front and back, roughly 4 x 6 in size. Not so much including blank pages to write, but more like pages to adhere pictures and momentos with pockets to tuck away special notes.
You may bind it with what ever medium you would like, twine, lace, thread, rings, etc... be sure to embellish the pages with pretties such as ribbons, buttons, stickers, lace, epherema, flowers, doilies, pockets, tags, and special papers. Make it as pretty as something you would love to receive!
I actually made one for myself this last week and thought I would post a couple pictures to show what I'm trying to describe, however, the pictures came out a little dark. But, you will notice each page is decorated and ready for photos and momentos to be pasted in. I've also added pockets and tags to allow for written notes and memories. There are only 6 thick pages in this one, with 5 pocket pages inserted in between each thick page to create 22 pages front and back.
Please sign up in email thread below if you're interested.
Sign ups through September 22nd.
Mail out by September 30th.

Posted - Oct 27 2017 : 1:28:18 PM Hi Mary! I received your scrapbook style journal today and thank you so much! I've never seen anything like it - it's so pretty and feminine. I love how you made each page appear like a vintage library book pocket ( I think that's what you would call it ) I remember these when I was in grade school when you went to check out a book from the school library, you had to pull the little ticket out of the pocket and sign your name to check it out. Darling! I especially love the quotes on each little page. Thank you for such a pretty little place to record moments in time! ~ April
