((Ladies, I am a couple of days early, but since I have a date with the Oral Surgeon tomorrow, I thought it best to do this early...rather than late.))
Portia's August Card Swap theme will be "VACATIONS".
Everyone loves them so be creative and have some more card making fun.
If you are new to this swap, please send me your snail mail as well as email addresses. Also if you are new, you will be making a Card for each person who signs up. I will send you a list of names and addresses on the 16th of July, after sign ups close on the 15th.
Hopefully I can do better with my new tablet this time.

I received cards yesterday from Dianna and Ginger.
Dianna, loved your "Santa on Vacation" along with the darling cut out clothes. That was so
clever.
Ginger, your unique vacation card was so much fun and loved the extra cut outs you
included too.
The cards amaze me along with the details included in them. What a treat to open each
one!

Hi Everyone, Apparently I posted on another thread. So many Thanks Yous to give.
Marlene~I would love to see the huge corn fields of Iowa.
April~Oregon looks so peaceful and pleasant.
Linda~You go on such interesting trips. St. Lucia is
beautiful.
Daizy~I didn't realize you got snow there. The Bald Rock Trail
is so pretty!
Darlene~I haven't been to the beach in a long time. Your card makes
me want to go.
Becky~I've wanted to go to Maine for years. Love reading books set
along the coast.
Karla~Florida is a lovely state. I was there over 40 years ago.
Where has the time gone!
Holly~Turkey are so much fun to watch. We have in our yard
sometimes.
Carole~Seeing that huge rose bush would be wonderful!
Sherry~Love Texas. It's quite a sight to see the sky full of Hot Air
Balloons.
Dianna~Thank You for sharing your post cards from Europe. Cute
kitten climbing out of the boot.
Ginger~Pittsburgh is gorgeous with all the nighttime lights.

Yay!!! I'm so happy you like them Nora and Marliyn! Its been such a busy summer for me and no vacation so I thought for a while and came up with Santa on vacation! The poem Sara and I made up together. :) I liked paper dolls too Nora! :)

Ruthie Ann - The Miami Beach card, yes I have been there. Years ago I took a "Princess"
Boat cruise and explored the city before we left on vacation.
Deborah - What a darling "Farmgirl Vacation" card with the truck and luggage in the back
of it and the cities listed for each of us farm girls in the card swap.
Rebecca - I have never been to Mexico but I truly love the beauty you captured in the photo
on your card. The beach and gorgeous shades of blue water looked so inviting!

Thank you Marilyn...that is special. I thought I was over heated last week and now they are doing tests on my gall bladder! Yikes! Haven't eaten hardly a thing since last week and am down to 115 already. Kinda scary. So I cherish your prayers! Thank you! Hugs!

I have to say I have truly loved each 'vacation' card I have received so far! Just so unique and cleverly done! Marilyn I love the clamping and especially the saying inside!!<3 Nora what an adorable map card! So clever! Connie...the back yard vacation has been my ONLY vacation in the last two years so I totally relate with your cute card and love it! Marlene...I live the beach also! Just so close and yet so far away! Linda....wow...breath taking beauty in Oregon!! The picture is stunning and I loved the puffin info! It was actually my favorite bird when I was growing up! :) ( ps. I like Inspirational Point better than Haystack but still an amazing place!!!) Thank you all so much! Still working on mine. They are almost done. Will mail by Friday. Just dealing with some health issues of late and I'm not as up to 'arting' as o have been! Sorry.

Connie, I agree with Linda,your card is amazing. I love it. All of my vacations are stay cations these days.
Deborah, thate is about the cutest little pick up I've ever seen. I love it.
Rebecca, beaches in Mexico are beautiful, but I love the colors of the waters. Turquoise to deep blues. God is quite the artist.

Connie, thanks for your very creative summer vacation card. I especially loved that neat
firefly jar inside and the larger firefly. Fun to read all the "Backyard Vacation" words too. We've
been having high 90's and 100-101 degrees so the words that jumped out to me were "popsicles, watermelon and lemonade"! Can't get enough of any of them these days. What a
cute pink lawn chair on the front of the card and the ladder up to the treehouse.
