Hello everyone! It is time to sign up for PORTIA'S Card Swap for JUNE, 2017.
Our theme will be Birds and Bees, and if you wish to use butterflies and of course flowers that is great.
Have fun.
If you are new to this swap please sign up and then send me your email and snail mail addresses.
We usually make our cards, but some times ladies purchase their cards and add to them, using stamps, stickers, etc.
Sign ups will end on May 15/16th, and I will send you a list of participants and their mailing addresses.
There is nothing better than FARM GIRL MAIL in your mailbox.

Marilyn I love your Bee card! Waiting on hubby to get batteries so I can transfer my pictures! I do it the old way with a camera. my phone does not take good pictures! Love all the cards I have received!

Marilyn, thank you sweetie. I really appreciate your kind words. I'm doing okay, it is still hard to think I cannot call him and hear his voice. He had cancer of his bile ducts. It is called Cholangiocarcinoma.
I am sorry for your loss as well. My prayer is that one day we will see our loved ones in Heaven. We girls need our brothers. You are right when you said Brothers are pretty special. They certainly are.

Brothers are pretty special. I am sorry for your loss Deborah. I lost my little brother when he was 32, to mental illness, then at 52 to cancer. He was three years younger than me.It is difficult but with God, you can move on. In my case God gave me two sweet grand kids to help with.

Mary what a sweet thing for you to say. Thank you so much for your precious heartfelt comments. Very much appreciated. The loss of my twin brother has been very difficult for me. But I know with God's help and the love of all my farmsister family, I will be okay.

Connie, LOVE IT! What a nifty idea! I just love watch Chip and Joanna. I wish they could come and redo my entire home. I love their style. I have a little gate thingy to hang my cards on. My sister gave it to me for my birthday. I think she bought it at Cracker Barrel Restaurant in Anderson Indiana. I also have an old china cabinet that sits in my craft room aka coop. I took out the glass on the doors and added chicken wire. I hang cards and things on it with clothespins. I use this cabinet to store all my fabric in. When I clean up my craft room, I will send you some pictures.
Someone told me that Hobby Lobby now has a huge skillet that is black metal with the inside cut out. It has black metal strips for the inside and it is for hanging recipe cards.
The one you have, looks very light weight and easy to move around. I would like that. Looks like it will hold a lot of cards.
Connie it would also look cute in a kitchen holding mini aprons and tea towels.

Oh Deborah! Your post just blessed my heart today!! What a precious memory! Gave me goosebumps! Thank for sharing that!! BIG HUG!! to you! I can only imagine what a special bond twins have! God's creation never stops amazing me. Birds and the Bees and the Flowers and the Trees, He made them all!!
We need more songs like that today that you can sing for decades to come!!

Look at my beauty from Connie! I absolutely love my card! It is beautiful! Not only for the love and creativity you put in it, but also on a personal heart felt feeling I had when I opened it.
My twin brother Rodney passed away one year ago today. I was devastated. He had two passions, he loved flowers and even once owned a florist shop. His other passion was bluebirds. Often comparing their color to the color of his eyes. He loved to tease me when he found out my farmsister name was Buzzn Bee. Two days before he passed, he told me he would watch over me from Heaven and that if I saw a bluebird, it was a sign from him letting me know he was watching over me.
When I opened your card the first thing I saw was the bluebird. It looked like it was watching over the bees from Heaven. And then there were the sweet little tulips. Everything reminded me of my brother. I miss him so much. We were very very close.
Thank you for my card that forever I will cherish. Your card also will be placed on Bee Shelf in my kitchen for all to admire. I will enjoy telling family and friends about the Buzzn Bee and the Bluebird from Heaven. I wish I could reach through the computer screen and hug you.
Thank you so much Connie for making my day brighter and reminding me of the many happy memories of my twin brother Rodney.
Also, I love the "Birds and the Bees Song" I sing it all the time. LOL!
