Good morning dear Farmgirl Sisters :) As we prepare for the New Year, I wanted to post our annual Sweet Seasons Swap. For those that are not familiar, you are assigned one partner, and each season (so 4 times a year) you send a box of treasures to them. This swap is lots of fun and gives us something to look forward to! However, it is PARAMOUNT that if you sign up, that you stick with it, so that it is enjoyable for all the ladies participating!
Sign ups end Friday, February 3rd
Partners posted Monday, February 6th
Boxes mailed by:
Spring - Saturday, March 11th
Summer - Saturday, June 10th
Fall - Saturday, September 9th
Winter - Saturday, December 9th
Please try to make your gift box special, by filling it with sweet and wonderful things that a farm girl would like, keeping the Season in mind. Examples could be note cards, chocolate, homemade items, candles, ornaments, figurines, pens, anything that you think your partner would like. If you have any idea of things that might be fun to include in our gift boxes please post them. The USPS Priority Flat Rate Boxes might be a good idea to use for sending your special gifts in, each Season. This would probably save on shipping for everyone.

You are welcome. I hope the shawl fits. I estimated the size. I also received a beautiful package from Joyce. The soap smells heavenly, the bookmarker was a cool idea. In also received a lavender oatmeal soak, chocolate raspberry jam that I can not wait to try. The rest of the box included a microwave fabric bowl, pen, and notepad. Thank you so much Joyce for a lovely swap this past year.

I received my winter package from Becky! We agreed to swap a little later, so it was a delightful and beautiful winter surprise! I certainly got spoiled. I received a beautiful burgundy hooded shawl with ties, a blue plaid shawl, a notebook, pocket calendar, reed diffuser, a beautiful Santa (you have an amazing gift!!), and some ho ho ho bells, a cup with hot chocolate. Amazing! I also got a birthday gift, which was a beautiful music scarf and music box in the shape of a piano. It is all so special Becky, thank you very much for being a wonderful swap partner this past year!!

Oh my goodness Shannon! You definitely have your hands full. I will put you on my personal prayer list. I hope that everyone feels better soon. Please take care of yourself too so you don't end up sick. Many many hugs.

My email is not working - AGAIN! Thinking I need to switch servers. Anyways, if someone else wants to take over for 2018, that would be great! I'm trying to manage a new baby, still healing from complications from my cesarean, and I have 6 kiddos with chicken pox! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

I sent a message through FB saying that I would host if she needed me to but I haven't heard back yet. That was a couple of weeks ago. I don't mind hosting. I know how it is with a new baby plus other little ones.

Does anyone know if this swap is being done again for 2018? It's one of my favorites! I tried emailing Shannon, but I haven't heard back. I know she is probably super busy with her new baby. I just didn't know if I missed a memo or not. Does it need a new host? I could step up if Shannon wants a break for the year.

Shannon, I am sorry I am running a tad late! I've had family from England and California and only half of them are still here! Santa left a package at my front door this morning!! Thank-you RoDonna for so many wonderful goodies! Check out all of the darling Christmas things she made: a stocking from an old sweater, lots of fun and festive ornaments, mitten coasters, and rice bags that you can heat or freeze for glover warmers or eye packs. There is also a darling necklace that lights up, pretty kitchen accessories, yummy Peppermint tea, a candy mold, and a sweet bowl and cup with festive decor. I am going to enjoy everything you sent. I really enjoyed being your Seasons Swap partner this year too. Thank-you for everything!!

Happy Winter Everyone!!!
Ginger, i received your beautiful, amazing package yesterday - oh my goodness, how thoughtful! Here’s a pic everyone:
It’s basically a wrap yourself up and get cozy gift! The tea pot and 5 cups are precious and the cups are 5 different colors. The box of teas is like ones they bring you in fancy restaurants. It may be hard to see, but they are all sitting on a stunning quilt called, ‘Blooming Prairie’ - ironically, i just purchased a shower curtain by the same company and some of the quilt sqaures are the same fabric - how did Ginger do that???
Anyway, it is so wonderful and precious i just had to post and thank you!!!

Hi Bridge--
Thank you for the most recent package. It was amazing. I have definitely indulged myself on the chocolate. :-) I'm putting my holiday recipes in the little basket/recipe box. I think this is the perfect place for some of those recipes that were passed down a few generations as well. I found the book on holiday festivities to be intriguing, and the cross-stitch ornament was PERFECT. I loved the beehive addition too. When it warms up just a little, I'm looking forward to planting the seed bombs. Then my girls (bees) can enjoy the flowers this spring.
