By the request of a small group of farmgirls who participated in the first altered file folder pocket exchange in October, we'll be doing another exchange for November.
The theme this month for our altered file folder pocket exchange is: A GRATEFUL HEART! Seems appropriate for November with our Thanksgiving holiday approaching. A special time of year to count our blessings and remember all that makes our hearts grateful.
Please use any medium you'd like to decorate your file folder pocket to go along with the GRATEFUL HEART theme. Use lace, ribbon, twine, etc to stitch or weave the sides to create the pocket effect. Please include 3 or 4 small items to insert into the pocket.
If you didn't participate in the first swap, you may view some of the photos from the swap in October for any inspiration!
Sign ups until November 7th, just leave a message in this thread.
Mail out by Monday, November 14th.

I apologize, I haven't been online much at all due to being overworked and having a lot going on personally, so I am just now getting back to you! I still have your folder here and feel sad when I see it and remember I haven't gotten it to you yet. I had the best intentions of sending it stuffed full of stuff, but I might need to scale it back a bit. I am going to the PO today and will see about what my options are, I just could not afford the $36 option. LOL
I guess your folder will be a Christmas folder at this point... :) I hope all is going well with you!

Sorry Sarah, I thought I had reach you already (I sent a private message on the site).
I think the best is to stick to an envelope (even with bubbles) but not a box, without any tracking info. Normally, shipping from the US to Canada is less expensive than the other way around... I never spent more that 9$ in shipping and never received anything costing over 10$ in shipping (it was a book).

April, I'm so glad you enjoy it! I love mixing all kind of mediums in my work. The folder is actually a couple of layers on top of each other: gesso than papers (all kinds, from old dictionary to scrapbook ones), some napkin/tissus paper, mark making, a layer of colors (acrylic, inks and watercolor), again papers and waterproof paint pen and doodles :) You had it quite figured out already :P
My sewing machine didn't like to stitch over all of that however ...

Marilou, I received your beautiful folder over the weekend, thank you so much! I love all the mediums you used, stitching on the sides, fabric, ribbons, papers, paint and not sure what else... please share how you created all the textures, it's amazing! Also, enjoyed the tucks, especially the grateful card, I plan to frame that and enjoy on my desk while I work each day. Thank you!

Thank You so much for the really beautiful altered folder and all of the unbelievable tuck ins. The gratitude journal will be used for just that. Recording what I am grateful for each day. The beautiful coaster, tea and cookies will be enjoyed this week when we get our first snowstorm and I love the notecards and tea towel. Thank you so much for being such a wonderful partner and hostess.

Whoohoo! Julie , What a beautiful folder. It has pumpkins with glitter and glitter leaves. And a heart that say's "A Thankful
Heart. And inside a Ghirardelli Mocha which I have already ate. A cute happy card. Pretty Ribbon, a body bar Cleansing Bar(Which bathroom sound it be put in . Mine), a cute Winnie dog note pad . So me!, a white metal key. I love it. And a cute little tea bag holder. I will put peppermints in it and put it in my purse.
So Julie thank you so much for the Altered file folder luv it. This was a fun swap for me. And I luv the Christmas tags. Going to post tags on thew other site . So Thank you my sweet friend. Doing the Happy Dance.

Your folder is in the mail as are your tags for the tag swap. However I forgot to put a note in the package and I don't think I put a return addy on it either :).
