I was wondering if anyone would be interested in participating in exchanging an altered file folder pocket!? I have attached a few pictures of ones I created recently... I have fallen in love with them! The first few pictures are of a file folder pocket I created for a friend, you will see it was my first attempt to coffee stain paper, I used a lace ribbon and a paper punch to semi enclose the sides to create the pocket effect. I also decorated the front and used a light layer of modge podge to cover the vintage French book page to help keep it in tact, as old papers tend to be brittle. I then placed a few goodies inside the pocket which consisted of stationery items, and few other small and flat goodies, some purchased, some hand made, tied twine around it to help keep the inserted goodies in the pocket during shipment. I also included a handwritten letter sealed with wax to go with the nostalgic theme I tried to create. I've also attached a few pictures of a couple others I have made that are currently sitting on my desk looking pretty and waiting for their purposes in life! I've thought about using these file folder pockets as a sort of keepsake holder for different items, special cards, letters, family history, travel memories, children's art pieces. Just a few ideas! I will leave theme and décor to your discretion, just create something you would love to receive and please include 2-3 small items inside the pocket, everyone loves a little surprise! YellowRose	Posted - Nov 04 2016 : 12:15:17 PM I received my beautiful folder from Peggy "Lady in Red" today and it is beautiful. I don't post pictures so I hope I do it justice describing it. It's covered with paper of roses which will go perfect in my bedroom which has roses. Along with roses the folder was decorated with yoyos and little pockets which held teas, mini cards, and bookmarker. Inside was a collection of postcards, cards, and pretty cutouts. She wrote a note on a card that is special to me. It has a picture of the Eiffel Tower which I collect because I live in Paris, TX and our mascot is the Eiffel Tower with a red cowboy hat on top. I personally love these altered file folders and love finding new uses for them, organization, recipes, receipts, scrapbooking pockets, gift pouch - so I'm in! Sara Knight also had a lovely idea about doing another swap in January with the theme of hopes, dreams and inspiration for 2017 which I adore that idea and have it down for January. What about doing one for November with the them: Grateful Heart -or- Count Your Blessings -or- something similar? Let me now what you think and if you'd like to try another one and I'll set one up!!
