Hey Farmgirls, remember our Postcard Swap . . ??

It's time to signup for our POSTCARD SWAP. This will be our 7th year! Can you believe it! I know many of you have enjoyed this swap. It's easy and simple. So, here's the scoop:

- Send ONE postcard that either represents your STATE or a FAVORITE VACATION SPOT, to EACH person who signs up.

- I will compile a list of names and mailing addresses and email it to you, so......

- SIGN UPS ARE OPEN NOW, will close on MAY 25th. Please post HERE that you want to sign up AND . . .
- EMAIL ME (please do NOT post your info here) with:
-Mailing address
-Your "real" name
-Your forum name
-Current and active EMAIL address

DON'T FORGET I NEED YOUR INFO!!!!

You can purchase postcards at gift shops, restaurants, retail stores, gas stations, visitor centers, etc. You can also take a favorite photo of your own and have them name into wonderful postcards. I have done this using the website, postcards.com. They are very well done, great quality and not expensive.

I suggest that you sign up right away, and then start purchasing stamps for postcards and return address labels. I also suggest you start purchasing your postcards or get an order going for any that you might have made.

MAIL OUT DEADLINE: AUGUST 21st. Yes, you have all summer to get them ready and mailed. But, trust me, you don't want to wait until the last minute.

SPECIAL NOTE[/b]: Typically there have been approximately 30-35 farmgirls sign up for this swap. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE carefully consider being able to follow through on this swap. Follow through is very important!
[/u]
THANKS MUCH . . . HAVE FUN!
CJ

Hi Denise,
Hmmmmm . . . went through my cards and I don't have one from Montana, and no one on the list lives in Montana. Soooooo, I'm not much help, hopefully that person will see this. Do you still have your list? You could check it against the cards you have and see if you come up with one that doesn't match up, if you know what I mean!

I was going through my postcards this morning from this swap and someone sent me a pretty Montana postcard with a bear on the front but sadly did not write anything or sign their name. Just my address on the back. If anyone can tell me who it came from I'd appreciate it. I save all my farmgirl cards and would love to put the name with this one.

Thanks for the postcard dimensions Darlene. I usually just trace around a standard postcard
I already have and cut it out but it is important to note what the post office will accept. I
have a rubber stamp that says "postcard" and lines for address and divider line, it's
wonderful and makes it so much easier when making your own postcards!

I am interested in the Christmas Post card swap definitely.

You know I'm in. Post cards must be at least 3 1/2" high x 5" long or no more than 4 1/4" high x 6" long by usps guidelines in order to mail with the postcard rate. Just thought I would let everyone know before you start cutting your cards.

I'll be watching for it too CJ! I'll be going through my Christmas cards to decide on some
to "recycle" into postcards.

I'll be watching for the Christmas Post Card Swap. If this is a success, may be next year it could be suggested earlier so that cards could be made up ahead of time. Just a thought......

Thanks for hosting CJ and you are still in my prayers.

Just a HEADS UP! IF . . . and I repeat "IF" . . . there is a Christmas Postcard swap, there will be a limit on the number of participants.
The reasoning for that is: it's holiday time and we get busy with projects and if we're doing recycled Christmas cards, I think it would be nice to have only a certain number to make.

Soooooo, if you think you're interested, be on the lookout for this (most likely posted in late October) and signup right away, so you don't miss out on the "limited number".
Thanks!

Hey there Postcard Swappers,
I think we can probably say that we're done with this swap, I am missing one card and I think probably that the rest of you are as well.
Thank you so much for your participation and I hope you really enjoyed the swap. I sure did!

NOTE: Be on the lookout for the possibility of a Christmas Postcard Swap (recycled/upcycled/repurposed Christmas cards, if possible)
Thanks again!

I want to thank each and everyone of you farmgirl sister's for all the really great postcards. I enjoy them so much, it's like going on vacation without leaving home. I am always late to post my thank you's for each card, but know I enjoy each and every card, almost as much as I value your friendship.
And to our dear Cee Jay, I thank you so much for doing this swap every year. I also vote for Christmas card swap, I am not as talented as some of my sister's at making cards, but willing to give it a try.
Thank you again Cee Jay, always in my prayers. Hugs, Karla

Big Thank You to Sherry and all the great facts about Texas. I use to live in Texas. Texas has a beauty all it's own.

Mary Jo love the vintage card of Minnesota. I haven't been fishing in years.

Nini for the lovely card of Pennsylvania. Lots of history to see. Maybe someday.

Received Nini and MaryJo's postcards. Love this swap.

Judith, praying you have comfort and peace. We all have those days and it helps to have our sisters to reach out to.

CJ, still keeping you in prayer. Nice that a sister called you and it helped.
