If you haven't yet participated in one of my 10" square fabric swaps, maybe now is the time to join us. We are having a lot of fun getting 10" fabric squares in the mail from our farmgirl friends. Flowers are a good sign of spring, so that is our newest topic.
This swap involves no sewing (your project is determined by what you want to make with your fabric squares) - only buying fabric and cutting it into 10" squares. Please send a good quality 100% cotton fabric - no thin fabrics.
Please cut off all selvages before cutting so there is no selvage in the 10" squares. (NOTE: The selvages are the two tightly woven edges of the fabric - opposite the folded edge.)
This is a new swap for 10" squares of Flower-themed Fabrics. Each person who signs up will receive 2 different 10" squares of Flower-themed fabric from each of the other farm girls who sign up. A yard of fabric will make 12 squares, so the amount of fabric you will need to purchase will depend on how many sign up.
Signups begin today: April 24
Signups end: Noon, May 15
Mail out by: May 23
When you sign up by posting in this thread, please immediately send me your name/address/phone. The name/address is so I can send a complete list to each swapper; the phone number is in case I need to contact you for any reason.
We have been enjoying these swaps and it is fun seeing all the different fabrics we choose. I hope you will join us.
NOTE: When you do join in, please "Subscribe" to this topic so that you will receive all communication regarding the topic. And we all like to hear from you when you send out fabric and when you receive fabric.

Beverley, Amazon put some fabrics in their daily email today. They have a couple of other rose fabrics. It does not say they are lawn, but the roses on pink seems similar.Emma's Garden-Large Roses On Pink-Shabby Chic Total. They also have the roses on white background.

Beverley, I went to the flying needle, but the fabric was no longer there, nor was the bolt. The ladies told me to go through their fat quarter cuts to see if the end of the bolt was there. No. They said that since it was red dot, it was an older fabric they inherited when they bought the store three years ago. All I know for you to do is try etsy and eBay. I have come across some really neat one yard cuts, or more on both sites, that were ten or so years old, out of someone's stash. When I have good sense I will also look. I need a nap at the moment.

Beverley, that was one of mine, I ubelieve. It is very light weight, right? I purchased it at Deb' s Flying Needle in Stephenville, Texas. It was a red dot sale fabric. I have not been in there in a couple of months, but when I go to the PO tomorrow I can go by there and see if there is anymore and the company that made it. I will let you know what I discover.

I was wondering who sent this fabric? I just want to know where you bought it. I think it is so pretty that I would like to get more? I did not look when I was taking them out of the envelopes to see which ones came from who. Any info would be appreciated..Thank you

Received the squares from Betty and now have them all. I agree, this is a wonderful way to connect and have more inspiration to get a project done. So many others around here; for one reason or another, they get stifled. But this one is not going to collect dust! I've already received the pattern via email from Christy and so I have no excuses on this one!

I waited till I got them all and then opened them and I am just amazed at how pretty they all are and everyone is different. I got 19 envelopes so I think I got them all and then I add me and it is 20. Was that the total.? I am going to cut them up and make Christy's pattern, I really like that pattern!! Thank you all for you generousity!!!

WOW!!! I tallied all the material we have from this swap, and I am overwhelmed by the variety of beautiful designs and colors!!!
So creative ladies....
My girlfriend and I get together at her house every quarter for our own Quilt Retreat for a few days, and we have our heads together for the next quilt!!
I love the sample we say earlier in this post-- I have to back a check it out again!!!!
Let's try to post pictures of our creations if we use swap fabrics for projects !

I have received wonderful fabrics from everyone! I finally will have mine in the mail. They are all packaged up and ready to go. Couldn't find the same fabric when I got to the store, so half have different prints but still floral! While at the store I went ahead and bought fabric for the next swap and got a little extra! ;)
