Posted - Dec 28 2015 : 5:59:52 PM 12/8 - The end of this year's Season Swap is quickly approaching with Saturday being the mail date. As someone who herself is running behind, I ask that if you too are, please let your swap partner know! If anyone wants to take over this swap let me know... I am willing to coordinate it for next year again, but am also more than willing to hand over the reins with all we have going on in our lives. Much love to each of you and thank you for being an important part of this swap!
UPDATE: With this swap being posted in the the MJF Sister Issue, I offered to re-open the sign-ups and let late-takers sign up as well. We have had one more person join us. Does anyone else want to sign up? I am taking late sign-ups through the 15th. Thank you everyone!!!
Welcome to the Sweet Seasons Swap! Rachel has been the hostess in the past for this swap, but with upcoming changes for her in 2016, she has had to step down this year and focus on those. Thank you Rachel for being such a wonderful hostess!!!
For those new to this swap, this will be four times a year, one for each new season, with the same partner. You would send a special gift box to your Farmgirl sister 4 times a year, just as the Season begins to change. Each of us will have something fun to open as we celebrate the beginning of each new Season.
Spring begins Sunday, March 20th-send gift box out by Saturday, March 12th. Summer begins Monday, June 20th-send gift box out by Saturday, June 11th. Fall begins Thursday, September 22nd-send gift box out by Saturday, September 10th. Winter begins Wednesday, December 21st-send gift box out by Saturday, December 10th. In between you can send Birthday Cards, Anniversary Cards and/or Gifts or a Thinking of You Card from time to time.
Please try to make your gift box special, by filling it with sweet and wonderful things that a farm girl would like, keeping the Season in mind. Examples could be note cards, chocolate, homemade items, candles, ornaments, figurines, pens, anything that you think your partner would like. If you have any idea of things that might be fun to include in our gift boxes please post them.
The USPS Priority Flat Rate Boxes might be a good idea to use for sending your special gifts in each Season. This would probably save on shipping for everyone. If you sign up and are unable to continue this for the year, PLEASE let me know right away. It is very unfair for your partner to send you a package and not receive theirs. For those that are already doing this swap and would like to continue, PLEASE let me know, send me an email with your address, & email address.
Let's have some fun and make new friends!!!!!!! I will have my children draw the names to set up the partners the end of January.
Sign-ups end Saturday, January 30th Partners posted Sunday, January 31st

Posted - Dec 18 2016 : 4:59:57 PM Denise, I am so glad you liked your winter box. I hope we can meet and chat again soon. We always have such fun and time goes by so fast. Girls, Denise packed my box filled with goodies. A beautiful box with a lovely winter scene-I just love it. Inside she had a cute red bird, a nice tall cup with a matching dish towel, hand salve and lip balm, cookies, battery candles, a Longaberger Santa ornament, candy, a cheese board and knife decorated with ice skates, a tote bag, a hand crafted notebook that I am going to write recipes in, and a lovely note with a vintage hanky. I think I am the one who is spoiled. Thanks Denise. I treasure our friendship.

Posted - Dec 17 2016 : 5:22:53 PM Well, it was wonderful to be able to meet up with Rita for our winter swap. I can't even begin to tell how much I have enjoyed getting to know her. She spoils me in these swaps and the winter one was no exception. She gave me a beautiful tablecloth to stitch. It is antique and has the original tags on from a store that was here in Philadelphia and Atlantic City. She also gave me the beautiful centerpiece and it lights up. A pretty Christmas apron that has little wooden thread spools on the ties, so cute. Some lovely beaded coasters, a kichen angel, a pretty zippered pouch with the wise men on one side and the star over Bethlehem on the other, a pretty candy dish filled with candies, some soap,a winter note pad, a cute ceramic loaf pan,a book, embroidery thread to work the tablecloth and a great big spool of green ribbon. She also added a big tin of popcorn. Rita, you have been so generous in our swaps but the thing I treasure most is the time we have spent chatting. We are planning to continue meeting. Thank you so much!

Posted - Dec 13 2016 : 6:30:46 PM I had a wonderful day with Deb in Louisville. It was so great to get to swap with her and get to meet in person. Such a wonderful farmgirl sister, I am very blessed to know her!!
She made me some beautiful items for the winter swap and definitely spoiled me rotten - thank you so much for everything Deb, it is all just perfect. Chris and I are saving the thoughtful present you sent for us to share for our upcoming weekend winter getaway! :)
Deb knitted the beautiful Christmas dishcloth on the right hand side of that pic. Amazingly gorgeous hand embroidered pillow cases! Sweetest little decoupoged dish! And she was very thoughtful to put together a special gift to share with the hubby. <3

I so enjoyed my day with Sweet Sarah, it was nice to just relax for the day and let everything go! We had a fun day and my Winter Sweet Seasons gifts are fabulous as always. Sarah never forgets what I like and collect. See the sweet angel, she lights up as does the Thomas Kindcade house.
Thank you Sarah for a wonderful day together, our friendship is so special to me and I am so Blessed that you too live in Colorado so we can visit another often.
I look forward to 2017 Sweet Seasons Swap and a new friendship made!
