12/08/15: Just checking in to see if all swappers have received their tags! I think that, for the most part you all should have. Let me know if you don't receive your tags by Dec. 10th!
CJ

11/11/15: PHOTOS, PHOTOS! Be sure to post photos of your tags when you receive them. We wanna see all the creativity out there! I always taks pics of mine before I send them, just in case my partner isn't able to do that.
CJ

11/08/15: Just thought I'd offer some suggestions for
mailing your tags. I've mailed LOTS and LOTS of cards, tags, ATCs, etc. through the mail. If they are flat without embellishments I would still wrap them in a bit of tissue paper before putting in an envelope. If they have embellishments, etc. . . . considered "lumpy" I'd suggest that you use a bubble envelope (wrap in tissue as well). Tape corners and flaps well, but don't cover your stamps! I've had things come to me with corners torn, embellishments sticking through the envelope, broken embellishments, etc.

ABOUT "TUCKS"
: If, and I repeat "IF", you choose to include tucks (the little extras) you are welcome to do so... strictly optional! However, they are NOT required and should not be expected.

11/07/15: EMAILS HAVE BEEN SENT. Some through my forum email (gmail address) and some from my Yahoo email.
If you did NOT get an email from me with your partner(s) name, please contact me ASAP.
Thanks much!
CJ

P.S. REMINDER: Mailout deadline is NOVEMBER 30th, but earlier would be even better!

11/07/15 Signups for this swap are now CLOSED!
Swappers, give me a couple of days to get partners worked out and I will SEND YOU AN EMAIL with your partner name(s). You will need to check your email for that information. I will post here when I've sent all the emails.
So, finish up those tags!
Thanks so much!
CJ

Hey Farmgirls,
This is a swap I hosted for four years and then had to take a break, but am reviving this fun swap for CHRISTMAS TAGS! I hope you'll give it a "look-see" and join in the fun. I LOVE my tags from the past swaps and have been selfish with most of them, using them to decorate across the top of my windows with them at Christmas

It's time to sign up for the *CHRISTMAS TAG SWAP* for this year. Many of you participated in past years by making TWO tags using your own ideas, supplies and creativity.

The size I make are about 2 1/2 x 5 inches, but they can be any shape or size you like. Embellish them however you wish with ribbons, buttons, wire, etc., etc.

-They can be papercrafted, sewn, needlework of any kind, whatever medium you choose.
-They can be used as fancy "to/from" tags on packages, ornaments, bookmarks, etc. Your creativity can go wild!

WANNA "PLAY"? SIGNUP here by posting that you want to participate
BY THE WAY: This swap IS OPEN to farmgirls outside of the States! You're are most welcome to join in on the fun!

SIGNUPS CLOSE ON NOVEMBER 7th

- I will match up partners. You can have more than one partner, but if you DO want more than one, you need to indicate how many you want when you signup. Otherwise it'll be just one partner. Once signups are closed and partners posted, you would then contact each other for addresses.

- Make TWO tags to swap with EACH partner

- MAIL OUT DEADLINE: BY NOVEMBER 30th

*IMPORTANT: Please be sure that you CAN follow through before you sign up. Everyone needs to participate EQUALLY.

Let's have some fun!!
CJ

Here are pics of some that I have made

You can check out this thread from the last Tag Swap. There are more pics there.

This is what I did with my tags.

My table runner was placed on a cabinet, and it had a bit of overhang. I pinned the ties of the tags to the table runner so everyone could enjoy them.

Here's a "heads up" tip...I use the beautiful handmade tags but only in the immediate
family and put a plain piece of white paper on top of the backside with To: and From:
hand written. I attach it with removable glue dots and everyone knows I will be collecting
the tags back as soon as the gifts are opened. They get to enjoy the special handcrafting
and I get to keep the gorgeous tags! At some point I will probably use them as ornaments
on a special MJF Christmas tree!

What I make with my
hands, I give with my heart ....

Oh , I would never put a hand made tag on a gift, because it would end up in the trash. They are art work to be cherished.

I love the tags and creativity as well, Linda. I don't think I've ever actually given anyone one of the tags I've received. I use them to hang on a strand of mini-lights over my big living room windows. I clip them on with mini-paper clips. I also have some vintage postcards and extra special Christmas cards in the mix.

This was fun to see all of the different tags that were made. I enjoy the swaps because many do allow us to cut and paste, or sew or ???? Just being creative is good for everyone, even when we don't feel that we have what it takes, it is good to play.

Callene, I got my Christmas Tags on Saturday they are very cute, and thank you for the tea I plan to sit down one evening and drink it while reading my Christmas book I got from the library. Sorry I did not get on line Saturday but my DH cut down our tree and brought it home so I was busy decorating it. I hope you are feeling somewhat better, so you can enjoy the season. Take care.

I love Christmas socks! I have several pairs from previous years, a few pairs that probably need to be replaced, and some new pairs, too. This swap was a lot of fun.
