Hi there Farmgirls,
I thought it might be fun to share favorite recipes with each other AND make a creative holder to store the collection in. We had such a collection a few years ago when we were on our Farmgirls on the Loose Road Trip, which took us to Mary Janes Farm. Our Henhouse has also done a similar activity. I love my holders and the recipes which are farmgirl tried and true recipes.

SIGNUPS are NOW OPEN: Please post here to participate AND
send me an email with your mailing address and email address

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:
- pick 1-3 (at least one, no more than 3) of your favorite recipes, hand write (legibly) or type on 3x5 cards or print in that size format and they can be cut apart.
-Be sure to include your name, and your Farmgirl Connection forum name and your Sisterhood number, if you have one.
- You will need to make enough copies of each recipe for EACH participant. When signups end I will let you know how many you will need. Then you will mail your recipes to me, I'll sort/separate and mail a set out to each of you for your collection

THEN: make ONE holder that you will exchange with a partner, when you get yours then you can put your recipe collection in and start making all those wonderful dishes.[/purple]

ABOUT THE HOLDER: If you get the email "SISTER" Issue from Mary Janes Farm, I have an article with pics and instructions in the "Make It Easy" section of the last issue for AUGUST.
-If you DO NOT get the "SISTER" issue I can email you the Word document with instructions. You just need to let me know.

NOTE: I decorated both sides of the holder. Only the front side is pictured in the "SISTER" Issue. The top header pic on the second page shows only a part of the back side.

SIGNUPS END: SEPTEMBER 4th
I can then tell you number of participants for recipes and then post partners for the holder.

MAILOUT DEADLINE for the recipes, mailing to me, is SEPTEMBER 15th

MAILOUT DEADLINE for the holder to your partner is SEPTEMBER 25th

I know this may sound a bit complicated . . hope it doesn't but please email me with any questions.
You're gonna LOVE your farmgirl recipe collection!

Beth - I received my box from you today. Wow was I spoiled!!! I absolutely adore my recipe holder! And the apple kitchen items are just delightful. I've never owned a glass cutting board, and just love it! The oven mitt and dish towel will most definitely be put to use. And oh how I love the vintage handkerchief. Thank you so much!!!

Beth - most definitely praying!!! I just realized you could be my mommy - want to adopt me? ;) My hubby had major back surgery in 2011 at 33. I think the military is just really hard on the guys!!!! In fact, his neurosurgeon said a lot of the PT stuff they have to do actually causes a lot of wear and tear on their bodies! Walter Reed is a pretty amazing hospital... though I use to go to Bethesda for everything as a "military brat" when I was younger. As far as the address... we moved the beginning of July to get away from our neighbor, which by the way, praise God!, is now under contract :)

Oh no I had the address from not to long ago......Please keep me posted. I will be leaving Tuesday to keep my grandbabies while my son in Virginia has major back surgery. He is a Marine pilot and just 37 years old. His wife will stay with him at Walter Reed Hospital and I will be with the children in Virginia. If yours does not get to you, and I sure hope it does!! I will mail another one out to you when I get back. Thanks, Shannon! Beth

I got back from my 50th HS reunion last night and today picked up my mail from my neighbor. Lots of farmgirl mail was waiting for me. One thing was the Recipe holder from Denise, and a little zippered pouch was included as a tuck. I love both, Denise; I love aprons! Thank you so much.

Here are pcitures of both sides of the recipe holder:
