Hi Farmgirls...I had such a Great Time with the Pocket Letter Swap
That Madeline Hosted that I want to do another one. I have a million
ideas going through my head and just itching to do another.

I think we will do a Theme with this Swap

"SUMMER TIME FUN"

Summer Time means different things for different people.
Maybe your favorite summer time activity is going Camping or Glamping, or like me it is Going to The Beach, or maybe you associate Summer with going on Vacation & Travel, or maybe you just like little Mini Vacations like Picnics, Baseball Games, Hanging out at The Lake, Visiting Family, Going To Movies, Reading Great Books, Hanging out on The Porch and doing lots of BBQing...What ever you love to do in the Summer Time for FUN use that for your Theme. Also use it as the Theme for your Letter to your Swap Partner. Remember that The Letter is an important part of this Swap...it tells your partner a little bit about you and what you love to do. Or Maybe there is something you have always wanted to do like Hang Gliding,Para-Sailing, Surfing, Going to a Dude Ranch, Traveling Coast to Coast by Car/Train, or Going to Paris, or learning a New Language. Maybe you would rather dream of some NEW FUN thing you have always wanted to do and share that with your Partner. There are lots of ways to go with Our Summer Time Fun Theme...use your Imagination Girls and Have Fun with it!

If you are brand new to Pocket Letters...just Goggle it and you will find all kinds of Tutorials to watch. Also, you can go to Maddie's Pocket Letter Swap and see lots of Fabulous Pictures of what her gals did.

So, we will start Sign Up today and go through July 30th, with partners posted July 31st and Mail Out will be August 7th.

However once you sign up...you can begin working on your Pocket Letter and once partners are posted you can mail out early if you
wish to.

Let the FUN Begin!!

Peggy

CeeJay that is a great idea to write your letter on the back of each pocket and number them. I recently made one for my friends birthday. She called me, so excited about her funny mail. I had to explain. She has an embroidery machine so I included a lot of trims to use with that. I did put in chocolates and different teas and coffees, but no stickers, no Washi, etc. I did put in a roll of Orange elastic to make pony tail ties for her four little granddaughters, ages two, three and four. It was fun.

Thank you, Peg and CJ. I am going to do one. Because you both know me as I love doing new crafties. The last three month have been horrible , my hubby has medical issues and it is me doing everything. But he is getting better. It is not dementia. Some of his meds were causing his problem so he has been taking off them . So anyway I want to get back to my scrappy life.LOL.
So I just love the pocket letters.

I sent her seeds to plant and recipes for drinks and food to use them in. I also included examples of tea which brews up nicely in the sun.

I'm so sorry, I'm posting this very late. I have had a really busy summer, and all sorts of technical issues off and on this summer. Here is the beautiful pocket letter that Mary Beth sent me. She did send it on time, I just was unable to post a picture until now. Thank you so much Mary Beth! :)

Marlee,
I used the backs in each pocket to write my letter. I used pretty scrapbook paper, not just white paper. I numbered each one ("page") so that my partner knew in which order to read them.

Marlee...my first one I didn't do both sides...because the tutorial I watched didn't show doing that...but I did
both sides for the next two I made because everyone does both sides and it just makes it all the more fun.

You just use your own imagination on how you want to lay out your cards. I pick a theme and then find paper and
stickers to go along with my theme. I usually start with my middle square in the second row of the Pockets and
build out from there. I also may place the other cards several times before I am happy with my lay out...and then
I build it all out from there. even decorate a little on the outside of the plastic pockets.

Watch Pocket letter tutorials and you will get all kinds of ideas.

Love and Hugs,
Peggy

Yes...it is an MJF Problem. My gals on The Porch are having hissy-fits about not being able to post pics
and losing their regular posts.

Hopefully we will get it resolved when the Glampers get home. I didn't know guys were into glamping...I
think that is soooooooooooo Awesome!!! (+:

I am also unable to post photos and have not been able to do so for awhile. I assumed it was my computer, but it sounds like it may be a website problem. I hope that it gets fixed, I would love to share my all beautiful farm girl treasures I have received with everyone.

Patsy,
It's probably not your computer that is the issue with not posting pics. Several of us have been trying to post pics . . . and I've never had problems with it . . . and are unable to do so. I've contacted the tech guy at the farm and others have emailed Brian.
I know that most of the were "gone glamping" through today.
So, you might check and see in a day or so and try again.

I know that if I load pics taken on my phone they take longer because they are larger. On my digital camera, it doesn't because I usually change the pixel size before taking pics and they don't take as long to load!

Peggy,
The time for your pics to load may have been because it was resizing them. It does that if they are larger size pics.

Connie...Glad you received it and liked my theme. I couldn't believe somebody else in this Swap went with the
exact same theme too. I think one of my favorite little treasures I put in was the Cat and the Scotty dog on twine
...those were so me and you (I thought) but I got them from my Aunt's Jewelry Boxes. Why she had those and kept them
was beyond me...as she never had any pets in her adult life.

Hey just to let you know...when I was having problems posting to MJF being patient was a virtue...as each picture
took at least five minutes to load. I had never had that much trouble before either...so, I felt like maybe the
Internet was just really busy at the time I tried up-loading...as pictures do take the most memory.

Have a Beautiful Day My Friend!!! I'm off to Church soon and I am sure you are too!

Love and Hugs,
Peggy
