Posted - Oct 01 2014 : 12:08:51 PM It's time to sign up for October Mail Art :)
If this is your first time signing up for Mail Art, please visit the topic Farmgirl Mail Art under the Farmgirl Swap heading to read our guidelines. Then leave a comment on this post if you want to participate and I will contact you.
FOR OCTOBER, please leave a comment on this thread stating you'd like to participate. Sign-up is available through October 15th. If your comment appears after you've posted it, that means you're on the roster.
Themes for October will be Halloween and/or Books (it's National Book Month) and/or Open.(Open just means you create anything you wish, not following the themes). And let's make orange this month's color.
I will send an email with your partner to you on October 16th. Please send your Mail Art before October 31.
A couple of things to keep in mind: 1. Traditionally, Mail Art has been "secret"; part of the fun is receiving a surprise package from a surprise partner. I would encourage you not to tell your partner who you are until a reasonable amount of time has passed for them to receive your art. 2. Please be sure to include enough postage for your Mail Art to reach its destination :)
If you have any questions or concerns, please send me an email. I'm always delighted to help.
Happy Swapping!

A big Minnesota Thank you to Vanessa (Audra Rose) from Florida for my lovely October Mail Art! As a cat lover I just loved the picture of your cat Shrek. My cat is Lily and she too likes to sit on anything I am trying to do. Thanks, Mary Jo

Posted - Nov 04 2014 : 2:15:40 PM Mary, Thank you so much for the October Mail Art. So exciting to open my mail box and find a mail art package. You are so talented to create and bake the turkey and little hanging plaque. The turkey is on the fridge and the plaque is hanging on the kitchen window lock. Have a great Fall season. Hugs,

Posted - Nov 03 2014 : 08:10:58 AM I've fallen a bit behind with the swaps lately. I think I'm going to need to take a break until Christmas is over. My mail art went out this morning, heading to Texas! I'm so sorry it went out late :( Also, I received my mail art... I think it was from Texas, a sparkly fabric pumpkin and a Halloween cookbook, but there wasn't a note, and I can't remember who sent it! Thank you to whoever it was! I love it!

Posted - Oct 31 2014 : 1:00:30 PM Thank you Becky M. for the unique Mr. Pilgrim you made me for mail art, and it did not fall apart at all! No glue necessary. I'm sitting it on my window sill above the kitchen sink so I will be seeing it often and thinking of you! Thanks again. |

Posted - Oct 31 2014 : 11:44:58 AM Thank you Patsy! Your beautiful package arrived today. Nice wrapping. I already put the kettle on to make a cup of cocoa - it's only in the lower 50s here today. And the tin of mints is soooo cute, I'm a sucker for tins of all shapes and sizes. Never had one from TX before. The autumn tray is so pretty. Your art piece is very cute - great googly-eyed pumpkins, I'd be happy to wander past them to get into that spooky library! I enjoyed your note also, it's interesting to hear about the weather in other parts of the country. Glad it's cooled off a little bit for you. We've turned on our supplemental heat and will probably fire up the wood stove this weekend. Enjoy the calves and the autumn season. Thanks again for the package.

Posted - Oct 26 2014 : 03:11:14 AM Vanessa- Love!!! The black kitty! Keep him inside on a halloween!! Mom had a black kitty who was about 7 months old one Halloween and every time a trick or treater came by he would arch and hiss and bounce backward- wonderful effect !! Kids lived it :-) Have a Happy Day. Mary

Posted - Oct 23 2014 : 9:17:24 PM Oh Linda thank you for your wonderful appreciation! In answer to your question, I have a cricut paper cutting machine and I used my Country Life cartridge to create your banner. I'm very glad that you liked it and your chocolate.

I got mail! Thank you Diana (Gibson Girl). She made me a beautiful Farm Girl banner that I will proudly display. She also tucked in 2 Ghirardelli chocolate squares which are not in the picture (and you all can guess why?) and a snail-shaped note card. I'm curious, Diana, how did you punch out all the farmgirl pieces and the letters. BEAUTIFUL job! I LOVE IT! The farmgirls are so detailed - with aprons, pets, and all. Superb! Thank you, thank you. These pictures don't do the banner justice!
