Posted - Nov 14 2014 : 11:22:59 AM Thanks Betty! It's been VERY VERY cold here this past week, and I've been fighting a nasty cold to boot - bleh! Supposed to get more snow and cold temps this weekend too. Today, I walked into work and it was about 13 degrees - felt like a heat wave after the cold earlier in the week!
I hope your package has arrived by now and that you like all your goodies. :)

Posted - Nov 03 2014 : 2:05:32 PM Carole, thank you so much for the beautiful table runner quilt I received today. I know that you made it and it is wonderful! You are one talented lady. Also, the delciious cookie in the owl tin was perfect as were the extra large paper clip (I became addicted to those as a teacher (now retired)) and the magnet. The magnet is pretty enough to wear as a necklace! The owl card was so pretty and the fact that it can be framed is wonderful. I really enjoyed everything. I am glad we were partners.
Hugs, Portia

Posted - Oct 27 2014 : 3:02:01 PM Linda, so glad you had a picture of the pumpkin wall hanging you made me and were able to share it on line. honestly I need to learn how to post pictures some day. It is so cute! I am glad your package arrived safely. I painted the pumpkin and did not want it to break in shipping. and those almond pumpkin pie candies are really good ( as long as you are not allergic to nuts). As for town size I think it may be about 150. everybody knows everybody, it was an old mining town on top of a mountain. several other little towns around the mountain top. Its an area where people walk, stop to chat. exchange goodies from their gardens, and baked ideas when the lady folk try a new recipe, all in all a nice town. Except if you were crazy hours an need to see the postmistress. LOL

WOW! You overdid it! The mail just arrived and I got my package from Danyel and I love it. She sent a ceramic pumpkin (I can use it to hide candy - though I will know where it is. LOL!), a pumpkin candle, a pumpkin candy dish, 2 handmade note cards, 2 Pumpkin flavored tea bags, Pumpkin Pie Almonds (can't wait to try those!), a microwave baked potato bag in a very neat pumpkin print fabric, pumpkin salt and pepper shakers, a hand-stamped thanksgiving bookmark, and some matchbook nail files. And a note on another handmade notecard. Everything is so nice. Thank you, thank you, Danyel! Here's a picture.

Posted - Oct 27 2014 : 10:59:09 AM Thanks, all, for the nice comments about the wall-hanging. I love creating things, and don't always know how they will turn out; this pumpkin turned out cute. It's not large - around 10" x 12", and I thought the twine and small branch was a great way to display it. Now I need to make me one. LOL!

Posted - Oct 26 2014 : 6:50:54 PM Thank you Danyel. I'm glad you got the package and are enjoying my creative wallhanging. I enjoy putting things together, and love scrappy quilting. :-)) I will post a picture of the wallhanging since I took one before I mailed it off. You must live in a small town, too - my town is pop. 598. LOL! Our PO closes for the lunch hour and is not open on weekends. I will be on the lookout for the package.

Posted - Oct 26 2014 : 5:58:55 PM Linda, my box arrived safely I just did not get to pick it up until I think it was Thursday. Out post office is only open from 9-12 ( in the morning and with my work schedule it is a race to get there, once a week to pick up any thing that does not fit in the little envelope box) it made the anticipation that much greater because I received the notice and thought it was for me and had to wait literally days to pick it up. I so enjoyed my box's contents. The pumpkin wall hanger is being carried every where I have went as I have showed it off to friends. the orange jar opener is in the drawer for handy use and it will be used my old one is in pieces. the recipe cards on the recipe stand on the stove for experimentation this weekend when I am off. I will use the wonderfully smelling tarts then also. thank you so much for being my swap partner. I was able to mail out your box on Thursday also ( had 10 minutes to spare before they closed ) so I believe it should make it to you by Monday ?

Posted - Oct 25 2014 : 12:08:26 PM Jami, Received your box yesterday. Love the pumpkin recipe holder. My hubby asked why did the pumpkin have that wire thingy? I quickly showed him with your recipe card what it did. He was impressed! Dying to try the recipe and I love the pumpkin candle. Like I told you, love anything pumpkin. Thank you so much. Love it all!
