Posted - Aug 31 2014 : 6:24:53 PM It's time to sign up for September Mail Art :)
If this is your first time signing up for Mail Art, please visit the topic Farmgirl Mail Art under the Farmgirl Swap heading to read our guidelines. Then leave a comment on this post if you want to participate and I will contact you.
NEW GUIDELINES: We've had a little time to review the flow of our Mail Art Program over the last few months and have established a few new guidelines.
* Each Mail Art participant leaves a comment on each month's Mail Art Sign Up, stating she wishes to participate. Even if you've been participating in this program for years, all misunderstandings are avoided when you give a written confirmation that you'll participate :) * Sign Ups will be available from the 1st to the 15th of the current month. An email with your partner will be sent to you on the 16th of the month. *The deadline for sending Mail Art is the last day of the month.
FOR SEPTEMBER, please leave a comment on this thread to let me know you want to participate. Sign-up is available through September 15th.
Themes for September will be Fall and/or Friendship and/or Open.(Open just means you create anything you wish, not following the themes). If you want a color challenge as well, how about gold?
I will send an email with your partner to you on September 16th. Please send your Mail Art before September 30.
A couple of things to keep in mind: 1. Traditionally, Mail Art has been "secret"; part of the fun is receiving a surprise package from a surprise partner. I would encourage you not to tell your partner who you are until a reasonable amount of time has passed for them to receive your art. 2. Please be sure to include enough postage for your Mail Art to reach its destination :)
If you have any questions or concerns, please send me an email. I'm always delighted to help.
Happy Swapping!

Posted - Oct 23 2014 : 04:57:38 AM Hi Erin, Yup found it safely tucked in a file cabinet drawer. Mr Cat was showing too much interest and I put them away to protect them- since that's not my usual cat protection area, never occurred to me to look.
I will post a picture for all to enjoy today. Thank you- absolutely love it- I'm going to repost it in Zict Mail art for all to enjoy- way to pretty not to share. Thank you again. Mary

Posted - Oct 12 2014 : 03:55:08 AM Hi Madelena! It was me, I sent you a cross stitched 'Autumn is here' I believe, some tea... maybe something else? I can't remember! Totally understandable with all you've got going on, it's fine, I'm just glad you got it! (I think?) I honestly couldn't remember who I had either, I had to look it up! Hope things slow down for you soon! :)

Just too much going on.. Several large craft retreats, a regional scrapbook seminar, several MJF swaps, new baby's born in the family, two weddings/showers, three family members have had major surgeries, etc, etc.. I don't know if I am coming or going right now.
So, if I was your partner and you have mailed me the September mail art (probably something I absolutely loved !!!).. please tell me who you are and what you sent so I can locate it for a picture.. Or if you mailed it a little late, email me separately and let me know.

I too live on 8 acres bordered by a creek. Have had a good crop of pawpaws that friends and neighbors have enjoyed plus buckeyes and hedge apples. Fall has come and we are finally getting some rain - the trees are a-changing. Wishes that you and your family have a great autumn and please continue with your crafting - your work is beautiful. Posted - Oct 03 2014 : 12:23:24 PM I received my mail art today and got to tell you it really blessed and made me happy. Lisa 'nubidane', I love the tea towel, I am really into them. It'll go on the door of little garden cabinet in laundry room.
The way you wrapped it was really special and I have been wanting a piece of burlap to use in fall crafting.
The card is already in pie safe with all de-hydrated vegetables. It's perfect there and I will see it every time I pass by.
Thanks again Lisa for such a wonderful package and for thinking of me in my garden.

Posted - Sep 29 2014 : 12:22:36 PM Marlee, I am so happy you like it. I had fun turning a garden flag into the fall wall hanging. I'm all about cutting & pasting. I like looking at something and thinking 'now what can I do with that'.
You made me feel really good when you said your kitchen looks more like fall. That's what I wanted - you to like it & find a place for it.
