Posted - Jul 24 2014 : 10:35:59 AM It's time to sign up for August Mail Art :)
If this is your first time signing up for Mail Art, please visit the topic Farmgirl Mail Art under the Farmgirl Swap heading to read our guidelines. Then leave a comment on this post if you want to participate and I will contact you.
NEW GUIDELINES: We've had a little time to review the flow of our Mail Art Program over the last few months and have established a few new guidelines.
* Each Mail Art participant leaves a comment on each month's Mail Art Sign Up, stating she wishes to participate. Even if you've been participating in this program for years, all misunderstandings are avoided when you give a written confirmation that you'll participate :) * Sign Ups will be available from the 1st to the 15th of the current month. An email with your partner will be sent to you on the 16th of the month. *The deadline for sending Mail Art is the last day of the month.
FOR AUGUST, please leave a comment on this thread to let me know you want to participate. Sign-up is available until August 15th.
Themes for August will be Happiness (it's Happiness Happens Month) and/or Adventure and/or Open. (Open just means you create anything you wish, not following the themes).
I will send an email with your partner to you on August 16th. Please send your Mail Art before August 31.
A couple of things to keep in mind: 1. Traditionally, Mail Art has been "secret"; part of the fun is receiving a surprise package from a surprise partner. I would encourage you not to tell your partner who you are until a reasonable amount of time has passed for them to receive your art. 2. Please be sure to include enough postage for your Mail Art to reach its destination :)
If you have any questions or concerns, please send me an email. I'm always delighted to help.
Happy Swapping

Posted - Sep 27 2014 : 09:42:45 AM Mary - I'm so glad you like the art. Enjoy the adventures! I hope to be able to do more of that in the future. My camper is far from road ready and too heavy for our current vehicle, so my "adventures" are in the back yard for now.
Blessings, staci FG# 973 :o )

Posted - Sep 11 2014 : 05:50:23 AM Hi Janice, I have been extremely tardy in saying thank you for my lovely Mail Art gift. Here is a picture of it. It was really fun opening up this gift. Posted - Sep 10 2014 : 04:38:00 AM Hi Staci... Yes TEXAS IS ALIVE AND WELL !!
We RV a lot and were gone most of the month and DID receive your mail art! You don't know just how perfect it was. You see, so many times my hubby says "Pack up the Trailer we're going to .... for a month" YIKES! Out come the organizational lists, the packing of books and crafts to occupy me as we drive miles and miles (and days and days) to somewhere.
What was fun, had become an ordeal in my mind. Then your mail art arrived and put it all back in perspective.. the Perfect quote surrounded by big pine trees on a mini canvas: "ATTITUDE IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN ORDEAL AND AN ADVENTURE" Robert Lipkin.
YES -- I needed an attitude adjustment.. and your Inspirational Message was Perfect! Thank you soo much !

Posted - Sep 08 2014 : 10:39:14 PM Kristine, I am so glad that everything made it safely and I'm glad that you like it. I found a postcard on etsy with that sweet little girl and just had to have it. I ran off copies because I thought that more gals need to see that face and smile :) I hope that you may be able to sneak some of that soap :) I'm glad that your daughter likes it :)
Thanks for hosting this fun swap :)

Thanks for the beautiful collaged heart Sharon. The little girl on it makes me giggle You'll notice that the soap you sent is not in the picture; my daughter very promptly made off to the shower with it and gave it rave reviews!

Posted - Sep 06 2014 : 4:35:12 PM I received the most beautiful piece of Mail Art from sweet Margo R! It is a beautiful, handcrafted fan with a Victorian flair in Autumn colors. Margo, it's like you know me so well. Thank you SO MUCH! I will post pictures as soon as I can. I plan on framing this once I find an appropriate fan. Thanks again!
I mailed out my Mail Art last week and hope it was received. I forgot about the holiday though.

Posted - Sep 05 2014 : 3:15:07 PM Hi Carol!
Glad you liked the art, card, and tea. It's getting to be hot tea weather time soon, although I drink it year-round iced and hot. I think the mail art is one of the best happy mail things I could ever create and receive, so I am glad you enjoy it, too. :) |
