So, I had this idea for a new swap and I am calling it Apres le Jardin or After the Garden. With weather improving, so many farm girls are busy putting in vegetable or flower gardens everywhere. For this swap, you will send someone something that they would enjoy after a long afternoon working in the garden or farm. Here are some suggestions: crocheted or knitted washcloth and a nice bar of soap, a few special teas to try, homemade herbal bath sachets, a package of your homemade laundry powder tied with a bow, or anything you might enjoy having after spending time outside. What do you think?

Sign up will be through May 22 and mailout will be May 31. I suggest that we keep it simple and a nice small card with a message is always special to receive.

I hope others will find this new idea fun and different!

Hi Farmgirls! Here are the swap buddies. Please don't be confused that you see me listed twice. We have an uneven number so I get to swap with two people! My pleasure!!

If you have any questions let me know. Time to contact our swap buddies for addresses and let the fun begin. If you are able, please post photos to share and or just let us hear about all of the creative ideas everyone came up with!

Thank-you all for participating and I hope everyone has fun!

Happy Memorial Day!!

I received a wonderful package from Marcy. She mailed it quite some time ago, but despite being addressed to me perfectly, it took quite a tour around the U.S. and just arrived today.

She sent me so many wonderful goodies, the photo just does not do them justice! She sent me: hand knitted dutch girl dish cloth, quilted dutch girl trivet, handmade clay fairy garden door, a pansey garden, garden themed post-its, note pad and journal, yummy loose leaf teas, a sweet little votive lantern, candy, a little froggy garden decoration, a mirrored garden stone and patriotic earrings.

Thanks so much Marcy! I really love everything.

(I sent you a personal message via email as well)

Hi Shannon,
I received your package safe and sound. Thank you so much, you sent so many thoughtful things. I love the tea. I would love to go to Charleston again I had a great time there a couple of years ago!! I am looking forward to using the bath tea and the nail kit is great. Thank you so much. Yours should be arriving soon. I was late mailing, as I was trying to recover from my daughters wedding and return to work.

What a wonderful package I received from Connie today. A wonderful tea assortment, some beautiful papers to craft with, yummy soaps, a gorgeous lilac notebook and a box of lilac scented farmers matches that I just love and some markers I am going to use to write on rocks to mark my garden rows. Thank You for the wonderful swap Connie!

Julie! Thank you! I love it all! I am so in love with crocheted wash cloths. The coaters are adorable! I love the little flower bow that tied them together! I am excited to try the Homemade Laundry detergent in my favorite kind of Jar! and thanks for the Band-aids for Garden Boo-Boo's. I have had way too many already and it is just June! I am still learning to do advanced crocheting, so I can't wait to get into this magazine! I love the crocheted soap sliver mitt! what a great idea! and I can't wait to shower with the Goat Milk body wash! I smelled like a goat Saturday, after pulling weeds and planting gourd seeds.

Happy Summer to you!

HI Sarah,

I'm sorry you didn't get my email. It looks like I am not getting yours either. I have no idea why. It also looks like we are not the only one having problems with this. Winnie, could you please help us? Thank you,
