It's time to sign up for May Mail Art :)

If this is your first time signing up for Mail Art, please visit the topic Farmgirl Mail Art under the Farmgirl Swap heading to read our guidelines. Then leave a comment on this post if you want to participate and I will contact you.

If you signed up for April Mail Art and wish to continue on with May, DO NOTHING. Just relax and start creating, I've got ya covered, although I will send you a little note to confirm.

If you signed up for April Mail Art and DO NOT WISH TO CONTINUE on with May, please send me an email.

Themes for May will be Flowers (it's National Flower Month) and/or Lavender and/or Open. (Open just means you create anything you wish, not following the themes).

I will post partners by Monday May 5. Please send your Mail Art before May 31.

A couple of things to keep in mind:
1. Traditionally, Mail Art has been "secret"; part of the fun is receiving a surprise package from a surprise partner. I would encourage you not to tell your partner who you are until a reasonable amount of time has passed for them to receive your art.
2. Please be sure to include enough postage for your Mail Art to reach its destination :)

If you have any questions or concerns, please send me an email. I'm always delighted to help.

Happy Swapping

Kristine

Jan, Lily is 8 and Alice turned 11 today! They are fun and very. Prissy. They give their dad a run for his money. Two blue eyed blonde divas. His mom and sisters were very Tom boy ( sports and no make-up). It was like a house full of boys growing up......and then he met me. Everything was girly and I designed and made wedding dresses for a living. When we married and had two boys first he was ok but then he said he wanted two "real"girls. So I gave him two little clones... It has been the best fun watching his and his family's reaction.

Suzanne, thank you so much for responding. I am glad you like the little watercolor painting. How old are your girls? They sound like fun! Again Thanks. Jan

I didn't receive my mail art last month. But I did receive a lovely hang tag from Kristine as a make up. Thank you.

Jan I received your beautiful art work, just not when it entered my house. My sweet daughters intercepted it first. They finally turned it over and before i could see who sent it ....it "disappeared" again. After reading your post I got them to relenguish it back to me so I could see who to say thank you too.
I wanted to put it in my bed room, but I think I will place it in a public room so my daughters and I can all enjoyed it.
I am so sorry for the delay. I completely understand. My swamps gave not gone well at all either.

My daughters and I are growing lavender so this was the perfect little piece of art for us.

Oh and I am using the cute little note book.

Lissa did you receive the water color I painted for you? The USPS shows it arrived on the June 12th. I was wondering if it arrived safely.

Kristine, I haven't received anything for May yet. I am hoping that Jennifer Gentile received her's from me and is enjoying it!

Jan I'm sorry you're feeling discouraged about mail art, but please don't give up yet. I am working really hard at weeding out the flakers. You guys have got to tell me when you don't receive your mail art so I can take those who don't send off our roster and make sure you receive a little something. This can be such a rewarding program and I have very high hopes of making it amazing as well!!

Jan Shook, I believe I received mail art from you last month...a beautiful little picture of a tiger lily and a bandana. I did in fact post a picture and a thank you to you on the April mail art forum. I still have the picture on my dining room table and I look at it during every meal. Sorry you did not see my picture/thank you, but it is there and I truly appreciate it! But yes, it is mid-June and I still have not received anything yet, or gotten a thank you for April or May either. A little disheartening when you put heart, soul, time and effort into a project and never hear whether it was appreciated. Hang in there!

Hi Jan,
Don't give up yet. :) I agree - it is a blessing to receive something someone you've probably never met created and mailed to you. Hang in there. I'm sure it'll get turned around.

Blessings, staci FG# 973

Hi Mail Art Friends,

I just wondered if anyone else is having a problem with mail art exchange. I joined in March and have participated in a timely fashion all three months. I have only received one mail art, a beautiful watercolor I posted. I have not received anything for the last two months, nor have I ever received a thank you or an update on receiving anything. Perhaps I am being picky. I live in a very rural area, and these pick-me-ups of art gifts are a blessing when received. Should I continue after June???

Thank you for the wonderful smelling sachet, bookmark, and card that arrived this weekend. My mailbox smelled so good!!

Well, I can't get the computer to upload. I'll have to try again later.
Thanks again!

Diane, my husband just brought in today's mail, and I am delighted! Your handmade papers are beautiful! The journal will be put to use recording very special thoughts and prayers. I will plant the seeded paper. What a lovely way to begin an herb garden.

This is the Wall Jean Pocket that I made for Diana Gibson.

Glad it got to you safely. Hope you liked it and all the little tucks.
Those pockets look cute on the Wall with artificial flowers tucked in them...once
all the note pads & pen, flower packets etc are used up.

Mary Jo and Carol...LOVE,LOVE,LOVE...the Lavender Pillow. Nicely crafted...so Pretty!!

Dear Kristina,
I was so excited to open your package, I opened it in the car on our way to church! Your talent hasn't gotten rusty, the tulips are beautiful. I will hang this in my cubicle where I can enjoy it all day.

Thank you so much Mary Jo for the beautiful paper mache bowl, it is truly a work of art :) And may I add that your box smelled wonderful before I even got to the goodies! Birds are one of my favorite creatures in the world, and who can't use a little token of hope? Thanks for putting so much effort into our sweet little program and for sharing your talents with me.

So Sorry Heather - didn't mention the pictures on the postcard - 6 beautiful miniature photos of her Holsteins, Jerseys, and a grey cat! My dad use to make us identify cattle breeds on our car trips and I didn't know there were red Holsteins so I learned something from your card.
