Here it is already time for the April Ornament swap. Time flies!! For this swap let's do a miniature ribbon doll ornament with either a Snowman or Santa theme. When you sign up for the swap, say which one you would like, either a Snowman or a Santa for the top of the ornament and them the ribbon will hang down only 4 to 5 inches.
You can use old Christmas cards to find your choice of doll or you may have others that you would like to use.

So this is what we will do:
You will create a Snowman or a Santa ribbon doll
The ribbon part will only be 4 to 5 inches instead of the long ones
This will be a cute and creative ornament for your tree.

Partners: Please check your partners preference as to whether they chose a Santa Ribbon doll or a Snowman Ribbon Doll. Happy Crafting!!

Shannon, please forgive me for not responding sooner. I feel terrible but with Easter and everything going on, I totally forgot. No excuses!!!I absolutely love my snowman ribbon doll! I can't believe you had never made one before because it looks sooo professional. And, the wooden clothespin Mary,Joseph, and baby Jesus is amazing! I have never seen anything like it. Is that an original design? Hope you had a blessed Easter. We went to s sunrise service and our regular one and then I cooked a big dinner. Need some rest!!
Thank you for everything.
Hugs,
Portia

Hi Shannon, You can make the doll anyway you would like to. Aside from the doll, the ribbon is equally if not more important. Different kinds of lace or ribbon or trim makes a nice selection. Hope this helps..

I'm not sure how I feel about the ribbon dolls, but am willing to give them a try. Does the head have to be out of paper/Christmas card or can you make it out of felt or something else? Either way, sign me up :) I would prefer a snowman as well please :) Thanks again, Beth, for organizing these!

Hi Shannon, We use paper and sort of adapted a Paper doll sort of idea... Yes, if you would like a Snowman, your partner would find a picture of a snowman and dress it up a bit and attached appropriate ribbon. If your partner chose a Santa, you would do the same steps. They are fun to make and share. Smiles
