Posted - Jan 09 2014 : 1:37:06 PM I'm sure other people do this as well, but I thought I would share an idea with everyone.
I covered a plain journal (actually this was done at our MJF chapter meeting here in my town)and decorated it and deemed it my Sisterhood Address Book. I keep home address and email addresses as well as the person's profile name in this book. Everytime I do a swap, if I do not have that partner's info, I add it to my book. This saves me a lot of trouble and I do not have to always ask each time for this information.
As I said, I am sure others do this, but just in case you don't, I am sure this will save you time.
Hugs, Portia

Posted - Jan 13 2014 : 8:06:17 PM I think this is a great idea and it sure helps keeping track of everyone, unless you forget to enter in the book. I found a address book at a rummage sale once and have been using it for the farm girl addresses. It saves a lot of time unless it is some one new.
Thanks for the idea. hugs darlene

Posted - Jan 13 2014 : 1:56:18 PM I use a journal also. I have several from years ago and I refer back to them often. I add recipes and interesting facts and quotes in mine and hope that one day my children can glean useful info from it!!Smiles.... Beth

Posted - Jan 10 2014 : 12:27:49 PM I use a journal also. It seems to work well. I use a separate journal for the Traveling books I have sent out and a card file for Swaps and Barters. Thanks for the suggestion Portia. All the ideas for keeping everything organized are helpful

Posted - Jan 10 2014 : 10:44:18 AM I have an address book too, but I like the idea of the card file or notebook to add likes, collections, etc.

Posted - Jan 10 2014 : 08:32:53 AM What a cute idea! I have all of my swap information stored in a spreadsheet, which also keeps track of the date partners are going to be assigned and the mail out date. I also have a column where I list things I sent to the person so I can remember if I already sent something to someone not to send another one. This way I can also sort the list to see whatever it is I am looking for... of course this is probably my accountant side shining through. :)

Posted - Jan 10 2014 : 06:24:19 AM I received a journal that one of the farm girls made and I put all my info like this in it. It's great to have it all in one place!

Posted - Jan 09 2014 : 8:38:44 PM I do this but have it in two spread sheets. One is for all the activities, swaps, barters and such. The other is the address book. I keep it all on a flash drive so it is easily transported between computers and doesn't have to be updated on each computer. This works for me. I am a real geek about spread sheets and data bases.

Posted - Jan 09 2014 : 1:51:01 PM I have a card file that I use. I put things like favorite colors, birthdays, likes, collects, swaps I do with them, and any other information that I can find so that when I have the chance to do a swap or send them something I have information to make it personal.
