Hi everyone! I've noticed that quite a few of us are desiring pen pals, but that the old thread is essentially "dead." I have been fortunate enough to have had a couple people e-mail me and welcome the opportunity to correspond. I'd like to get something set up for everyone, though, especially those that are just joining (I'm pretty new myself, lol).
Here is what I was thinking - rather than pairing people up, I'd like to just send everyone a list of addresses of everyone that is interested. Sort of like the "Random Acts of Kindness" swap. Basically, sign up on here and perhaps put what you are interested in, then e-mail me your name and address. After getting a list set up, I'll e-mail everyone the list of names and addresses and you can chose who to write. Every couple weeks, as needed, I'll update the address list, so tat those who join after it is started have the opportunity to correspond as well. |

Hello,
Not really sure what to say about myself, but here it goes. I am 31 years old, and married to the love of my life. I have 1 dog, 2 cats, and sometimes watch my parents 2 ducks. I love making things with my hands, being outside, and just having fun. I purchased more tools than my husband, but that is fine with me. If I am not working on projects I am usually reading. I am pretty open, so if you have any questions please ask.

Hi everyone <3 I know I have been MIA and I apologize! Thank you for your patience! I am working on the pen pal list, but am getting several e-mails from people that some of the individuals on the list no longer wish to participate, or that their addresses have changed. What I would like to do is have everyone who is still interested in participating send me an updated "blurb" about herself and a current address. Everyone can expect messages from me soon! The sooner I hear from everyone, the sooner I can get an updated list out :) Thank you ladies!!!

Would you mind adding me to this list as well? I haven't had a penpal in ages, but I did several years ago. Anymore I find myself longing for the day when I could sit and write a letter (or get one) instead of spending time being glued to a computer.
As for a little bit about me....My husband and I have nine children. We also have 16 grandchildren. We recently (a little over two years ago) moved to Tennessee in what we hope to be our retirement home. We wanted to move while we still had the time and energy to make it a home instead of just a house. I am a faculty member at multiple universities, but I have the luxury that I get to do it all from the comforts of my home. In my spare time, I enjoy beekeeping. We are trying to turn this into a small business for us in retirement. In addition, I dabble with a lot of different crafts. I do some sewing and crocheting. However, I have tried my hand at knitting, weaving, counted cross stitch, and more. I guess you could say that I am a jack of all trades, but a master of none. ;-)
