I recently read a comment about how much this forum has changed and in the many years I have been here, I totally agree. The swap forum is one of them. So I have decided we need a good old back to basics apron swap. Canning season will be here soon, for many of you much sooner than me, lets start the season off right with a new apron hanging on the back of the pantry door. Aprons can be full or half, totally up to you and your partner. Sign ups will go until june 30th, mail out will be July 31st. Please only sign up if you are sure you can follow through. I know this is a very busy season for all of us, but no one likes to be left out and this swap mama will not tolerate hurt feelings.

Look at the beautiful apron that came to my mailbox Friday. Alicia was going on vacation so we agreed that she could mail hers a little later, it certainly was worth the wait. What a beautiful apron, just love the embroidery and colors and she included all sorts of treats from her vacation for me. Thank You so much Alicia for the wonderful package and being a part of the apron swap!

I wanted to share with all of you my beautiful apron that my "Swap Angel" sent me, isn't it beautiful? As I am sure some of you can tell my Friend CJ worked with my Angel, so I am fortunate to have another CJ apron in my collection, CJ makes beautiful aprons. This particular one is me, my colors, pockets, everything about the apron. Thank both of you so very much for making my day and making me feel so very special.
Farmgirls are awesome and I wonder what we would do as Farmgirls if we did not have Angels among us.

I got your apron today and it is beautiful. Thank you so much.
I am so happy with it. And for extras I received 2 new dishcloths.
I was thinking just last night I needed to make some. How wonderful!
And the canning cookbook is filled with delicious looking recipes. thank you for much.
I am so glad you like the apron I made you. I saw one just like it at
an antique store, but it was brown. Yuck! So I made one in red for you.
I hope you don't mind that I post both a picture of both aprons. The red
apron I made for Lori and the pretty flower apron Lori sent me!

Thank you for the beautiful apron and kitchen goodies! They arrived yesterday and my daughter and I were gone most of the day getting ready for school. She said she is going to have her friend Cody wear it the next time he comes over. Thank you again!!

Shanda I picked up my package today. And I love, love it! The apron is so pretty, red is my favorite color and I love sunflowers! And the 3 nice big dish cloths are wonderful! You do good work. The labels will sure be used. I can't wait to get our house finished, these things will be perfect in my kitchen. Thank you so much, you are so sweet and a great swap partner! Nancy, be careful if you use that as a pot holder, it doesn't have the thermal insides.....it actually is a mug rug ;) Glad you like it and thank you for being a great apron swap partner!

Sally, I got my package and what a lovely apron. Thank you so much for the apron and potholder to match. I love the tea and cup and the recipes look so delicious. I am going to try the beets for sure. The tea will surely enjoyed.

I am glad everything arrived and that you like it. I have never sent anything out of the country before - I was so surprised at all the paperwork I had to fill out that I totally forgot to find out when it would arrive. I had no idea how long it would take to get through customs, but it didn't take long at all! I wish you a safe and happy move.

I got my aprons today Heather!!!! i LOVE it :) Thank you so very very much!! I think it's neat that we will have the same half apron and I will remember you everytime I wear it - I also LOVE your postcard and the info on your city as well! Looking forward to a cup of tea tonight and reading it all. This is our "temporary" home (at my parents) for the summer but I'm looking forward to moving in September to our little farm on Vancouver Island on our little acreage :) Thank you again Heather!! |
