Posted - May 11 2013 : 07:31:43 AM I would like to host a Celebrate America Swap for the 237th birthday of the United States of America. For this swap, we will exchange anything with flags. I see so many pretty fabrics in the stores that honor our country that can be used. Maybe you choose to make a flag fabric apron for the July 4th barbeque, or a set of potholders, or a framed patchwork flag or a banner to display. This swap should be for one larger item, such as an apron or large banner or several small items, like a set of fabric napkins and matching potholders. Handmade items are preferable, but if you cannot a store bought item is fine. Maybe it can be personalized to make it farmgirl special. Extras are nice, but optional. Sign ups until Tuesday, June 4, Partners will be posted no later than Saturday, June 8. Mailout no later than Tuesday, June 25, so everyone will have their swaps by their July 4th Celebration. This is my first swap. I want to make it a fun for everyone, and I am looking forward to celebrating the beginning of our great country with swaps from our farmgirl sisters!
PARTNERS Jenne.f..........Mamahartley Red Tractor Girl.....Sandylee Debi Carr........Wildflower17 treelady.........nndairy
Packages I have sent or received recently seem to be taking a little longer to arrive than I expected, so please mail early enough so that everyone receives their package in time for July 4th. Thank you all for signing up. I hope everyone has a fun time, a great 4th of July and please post pictures.

Debi,
Thank you so much for the sweet package you sent. I love the red white and blue crocheted star. It is beautiful. Placed it on my coffee table with other patriotic decorations. Also, thank you for the flag, ceramic star, baking cups and picks which will really be useful for 4th of July cupcakes. And, for the card, stickers and flag packaged butter mints. They are so yummy for a sweet treat. My DH loves them. I hope you have a wonderful 4th of July holiday. Your package is in the mail. Hope you like your package of goodies.
Hugs!
Judy

Posted - Jun 18 2013 : 11:52:33 AM Julie, Thank you so much for all the wonderful gifts in my swap. Sorry for the delay in posting - some of my family came down from Michigan for the weekend. My sister loved the table runner so much she signed up to Mary Jane's Farm! I love everything!! I already hung the heart decoration in the living room and I am planning to make the Mexican dip in the star bowl this weekend for my husbands birthday. The blueberry soap smells wonderful and I needed a new scrubber thing! I wish I could knit and crochet to make things like the towel. Maybe someday. I always listen to country music so the CD will get played a lot and I never seem to have enough notepads! Thank you again for everything. Your package will be in the mail tomorrow or Thursday.
Happy fourth of July, Heather
