Hey Girls!

I know everyone is so excited about Spring's arrival and the planting season...I hope everyone has fun with this swap.

PARTNERS ARE AS FOLLOWS...

Tiana(HodgeLodge)-Teri(kysheeplady)
Connie(Killarnery)-Denise(momof2jrt)
Lisa(Elkaye)-Diana(Dianaw1123)
Amy(Simply Silly)-Joyce(joyfulmelodies)
Shannon(Farm Hen)-Kris(MamaBulla)
Rachell(Progressive Homemaker)-Kim(Kammi)
Ruthie Ann(Ruthie 218)-Kathy(KathyC)
Katrina(KatTylee)-Judy(wildflower17)

Rules are as follows:

1. Signups will end February 16th.
2. Partners will be posted by February 18th.
3. When partners are posted please exchange addresses.
4. Mail seed packages out the week of February 25th.

5. Please send as many seed as you like, but no less than 5 different kinds of seed. If you don't have any that you have saved, store bought ones will be fine.
6. Please include directions for planting.
7. Try to package them as attractive and thoughtful as possible. Many dollar stores have inexpensive seasonal or holiday themed ziplock bags which I think are very sweet for packaging.
8. If feasible maybe we could include a couple of extra things in our package for our farmgirl friend.
A few ideas would be...a small gardening tool, a pair of garden gloves, magnets, stickers, notepad, little porch critters or any garden or seasonal related item. It is not necessary to send all of these but one or two would add so much to our seed package.
10. Please share a recipe that you enjoy with your family during the Spring and gardening season.

11. Finally include a card or handwritten note about why you like gardening. You can let your farmgirl partner know about your favorite flowers and vegetables that you like to grow.
Maybe you have a fond memory of your childhood spent with parents or grandparents gardening, that you would like to share. Seems as if most farmgirls love to hear stories about other peoples memories and interests.

I hope this proves to be a fun swap for all! Please don't forget to say a special thank you to your farmgirl partner for your "Spring Seed Package"!

Blessings,

Judy

Tiana,

I hope this finds you doing well. Guess what? This morning I had a beautiful Red Poppy that had opened up overnight. It is gorgeous. Standing so beautiful in the sun today. I hope more bloom out soon! I have never had Red Poppies before. I planted them in late February per your instructions and wa lah...a flower pot full of beauty!Everytime another one blooms...I will think of you my sweet farmgirl friend!

Once again...thank you for sending me the seed!

Hugs!

Judy

Rachell

I did receive your package, it is wonderfull, full of seads and other goodies. Sorry for not getting back asap. I had a death in the family and am trying to get back in the swing of things. Please forgive the tardiness. I am just now getting back to work and working through it. Your package came at a time I needed some happy thoughts, and it helped greatly. You are a blessing. Thank you.

GinghamGirl Posted - Mar 21 2013 : 4:08:16 PM
Hi Amy!

Yes, I do know you have to list things that are in the box - but you can be generic - I wrote "stationary" instead of note book and toiletries instead of soap :) That way it keeps the surprise a little in it!! I'm so glad you liked it!! Joyce
Simply Silly Posted - Mar 21 2013 : 3:43:59 PM
Joyce,

Thank YOU:} I received your package today! Love the gloves - fit perfect. The sationary and soap are wonderful! I will be sending your package out on Friday. Did not know I had to define everything in the box when sending it to Canada - so a second trip should make it happen!

Always Amy;}
