OK....I know....it's not even December yet...I know....But there is a method to my madness....During this time of year, a lot of craft items go on sale, reds, pinks, silver, white things...Things that can be used for Valentine's Day... Here's where I am going with thiS
Remember the precious boxes we would make in grammer school around Valentine's Day? All red, pink, white, and glittered??? Well, several years ago I hosted this swap and had a lot of interest so I am throwing it out to see if anyone wants to swap again.

You would decorate a box (could be wooden or the paper mache ones that Hobby Lobby and places like that sale). Around the size of a Kleenex brand tissue box....or a cigar box....Let's stick to the colors that used to be Valentine. Reds, pinks, silver, white...You can paint or use paper, just cover neatly and completely.....Then decorate with vintage valentines, flowers, ribbons, hearts, whatever says Happy Valentine's Day to you (within reason, of course)hehe....You might want to glue knobs on the bottom for feet to gus it up a bit. Or add a little catch on the front to keep peekers from looking in... Then of course you will include a handmade Valentine from you all tucked inside..It could be another vintage one, or a postcard, or the possibilities are limitless...
So be thinking and looking...It will be here before you know it!!
Sign up ends January 3rd and Send out will be January 20th.
So go ahead and get your box all painted or papered and have that much done...so all the fun stuff will be to do later...
Alright, who's in? Girls....Cupid????

You can never be to kind!

Kelly aka LovinRchickens,

I am so glad you liked your valentine box. I had a blast making it.Glad you are enjoying the little tuck-ins. As for the card, I copied a piece of the fabric on my copy machine. I copied it onto card stock. The card almost felt like the real fabric. Then I glued on the ribbon. Some of the other farmsisters who saw it slowly come together have asked if I would post pictures of the inside and a close up of the outside. I wish the pictures would show the bright pink instead of making it look red. Oh well here are more pics.

I hope we can do more swaps together in the future. I love my valentine box you made for me and she it sitting on my dresser looking all sweet and precious.

Hugs and a Very Happy Valentine's Day to you!

Debbie aka buzzn bee......oh my you really you really outdid yourself. I have been very blessed to say the least. The valentine box is just beautiful, my girls and I just keep looking over and smiling at it, you are SO creative. Then the card was in the same fabric as was the box, so I can always remember who sent this to me years down the line. Now for the list of goodies.....oh so cute kitchen towel, you can never have enough of them. Valentine ribbon, two tea candles, smell so good. Small notepad for my purse, small purse hairbrush, melt away stress lavender and camomile lotion, Burt's bees lip balm, nail buffer, kitchen helper book for all the most asked kitchen questions, darling buttons, yummy sucker, cross stitch floss, Burt's bees almond milk hand creme, 76 recipes for homemade soups booklet, and a yummy box of whitmans chocolates. I just love it all, thank you so much. It really brightened my day by leaps and bounds

Blessings
~Kelly~
