*******The Sign Ups are now Closed, we will email your partners this evening.
Thank you all for signing up, this is such a fun swap.**********

Welcome to our 2nd annual 4th of July Patriotic Swap.
Tammy Cummings and I will be Hostessing the swap together.

We will do things just a bit different this year with a couple of surprises.

First and foremost, Please, Please do not sign up for the swap if you are over committed with other swaps or have family summer/vacation plans that would keep you from following through with your part of the swap. Let's make this a fun swap with no hurt feelings, let's remember our Farmgirl Spirit, Farmgirl Heart and Respect for each other. Let us always remember what it means to be a Farmgirl!

1. The swap sign up will run from 15 May - 10 June. That gives you 26 days to make, purchase, collect...whatever you need to do to get your package together. Then June 10th when you receive your partner you will only have to put finishing touches on your package and get it in the mail so your partner will have it a few days before the 4th of July.

2. There will be just one partner per farmgirl, so who you will be sending treasures to will also be sending to you. We will not post partners on the forum, only the swap partners will know who they have. Then when you receive your treasures, you will post pictures on the forum, let your partner know your treasures have arrived and reveal who your partner was. You will also tell us a little something about your partner that she shared with you.

3. We ask that you MAKE your swap partner a 4th of July card and in the card you will tell her a little about yourself, your family, whatever you would like to share about yourself and/or your life. When your partner post her treasures and reveals who you are, she will tell us a little bit about you that she learned from your card. This will be a wonderful way for all of us to get to know other farmgirls a little bit better.

4. You may send to your partner whatever your heart desires, be it homemade, purchased, or a little of both, it is up to you. Just follow your Heart and the 4th of July Patriotic theme. No limits set on what you send it will be your personal choice.

5. Tammy and I will be sending each farmgirl who signs up and follows through with her part of the swap a 4th of July surprise.

6. At the end of the swap when every one has received their packages we will put all of your names in our 4th of July Hat and pull out one name for a Very Special Surprise from Mary Jane's Farm Store.

7. Last but never least we call this our 4th of July Patriotic Swap as we never want to forget the Men and Women who are fighting for our freedom, all living veterans and those who made the ultimate sacrifice for us. We must never forget any of them, always keep them in our prayers and thank them whenever an opportunity arises.

8. Remember that you will be Honoring Each Other by following through with your part of the swap. If you have any problems, questions or concerns please, please email Tammy and/or I. Please do not post any concerns on the thread, let's not ruin this swap for anyone.

Alright Farmgirls sign ups start now so let the fun begin!

Please email us your name and address if you will be joining the swap.

Thank all of you so much for being the Special Farmgirls that you are.

Hugs,
Debbie and Tammy

I am so late posting, but I just have to say what a beautiful box I received from Darlene before the 4th! It was packed with patriotic and America-themed items. Darlene loves celebrating the 4th and it showed in all the items she sent to me! Thanks again for the gifts.

Ladies,
Just a quick update on my daughter. We are 3 weeks away from finishing all her antibiotics. She got her stitches out yesterday and saw the Dr. and he said she's doing really well. Right now she's just dealing with a rash that is one of the side effects of her medicine. Thanks everyone for your prayers! We have been blessed by them! Thanks also for the fun packages and cards! She has loved them all! Thanks for being caring and sweet sisters!

Thank you for the fun package! How did you know that I needed a beautiful patriotic dishcloth? It's really nice! I think you're a mind reader for the tea as well! It's like my favorite! All the other goodies were fun and fabulous as well! It was a pleasure doing this swap with you! Hope you enjoyed your package!

I received my package from Cynthia on July 3rd. Thank you so much. Cynthia is a single mother of four boys living in Endwell, NY. Only one of her boys is still home finishing high school. She has done a great job raising her boys, one is a doctor, one is making the Air Force his career and one is pursuing a career in math after being medically discharged from the Army after two tours in Irag. The youngest son, who was a gift from God on Christmas wants to be a doctor. You must be very proud of all your boys. Cynthia is the town librarian and loves her job. When she has time she enjoys crafts and reading. She once had a mini farm and raised dairy goats. She misses this and hopes to be able to do it again one day. Cynthia is lucky enough to have a Mary Jane chapter in her area that her friend started. Lucky girl. It is a real pleasure knowing you Cynthia and thank you for all the wonderful 4th of July things you sent. Our table looked wonderful and my daughter wore the scarf tied in her hair to work. Hope everyone had a great fourth and thank you for the privilege of meeting all you ladies.

With lots of hugs and smiles, have a great day.

Jamie.. thank you sooo much for all of the cool 4th of July gifts. I received a wonderful decoration with a full pleated R-W-B paper fan/bunting that looks great in my window with a pictures of a nostalgic Little Drummer --- Some decorative American flags.. even the houseplants are patriotic this year LOL A red star head band (feel like that Great Statue in NY harbor).. 3 R-W-B- star beaded necklaces -- make great decorations draped on the doors of my china hutch. And
Jamie is a Seattle native, single, and works in the healthcare field. Loves reading mysteries and historical fiction (so do I !!!) Crochets and some cross stitch. Interested in cooking and thinking about the plunge into veggie gardening. The 4th is her Aunt's BD and they celebrate it with a great summer family picnic and the family tradition of watching the Music Man (Love the original movie too !)
Well, Jamie.. you have been a great partner and I your 4th of July swap was wonderful !

Hi All :) In all the hussle & buzzle of the holiday. I completely forgot to thank Debbie & Tammy for my Battle Saints bracelet :) But wait no one but two arrived with a really nice magazine & another of Debbie's dish clothes, again too nice to use for dishes ;) I will take a picture of the bracelet I have kept for myself & I have already given the other bracelet to an Army wife, who's husband is in training for deployment as I type this. She thanked me but what made my heart sing, her son whom has taken forever to warm up to me, smiled & said Thank You for thinking of my dad :) He is the man of the house while dad is away. Thank You Debbie & Tammy.

KEEP A SMILE IN YOUR HEART...

I got my package from Pam today, and it was great! I will put a picture up when I get it on the computer. There were two towels, a pot holder, some flag toothpicks, a triple metal star wall hanging, a woodend patriotic heart, and a spool of Patriotic ribbon and the card was a really pretty sewn one. It will be up soon.
That was a lot of fun. Can't wait until next year!

Christine! Thank you SO much for the wonderful explosion of 4th of July gifts! I was so happy to receive it just in time for the holiday!

I just love love everything - from the red, white and blue seed collection (what a cool idea! LOVE IT!), to the bowl, to the dish towel and oven mitt (love the fabrics!), to the decorations, to the postcards (AWESOME!), to the cupcake supplies, to the buttons (can't wait to start crafting with them!), to the notepad... Love it all! But my absolute favorite was the letter from you - you have such a beautiful family! You're a very blessed farmgirl, indeed! Thank you SO much for sharing - for EVERYTHING!

Hugs -

Mary, thank you for the wonderful package! My camera/computer connection is apparently taking the holiday off too so I'll try to post pics later, but I received some great red white and blue dishcloths, a beautiful print of a painting of quilts, an applique kit, and a really cool quilted flag placemat. Thanks again for being a great swap partner!

Mary is originally from the midwest and lives in Texas now. She "dabbles" in a lot of different hobbies and projects - quilting, reading, knitting, scrap booking, camping, you name it. Her family all live in Texas too, and they're getting ready for a new grandchild very soon!

I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th!

Danielle your surprise will be coming from MJF Store, when you get it would you please share on the forum what you received? Congratulations!

I too have made a new farmgirl friend with Maddie, she is so lovely, we have so much in common, I am so happy and Blessed to call her my friend. Thank you Maddie for being such a wonderful swap partner.

Have a beautiful, safe and fun 4th of July ladies and thank you again.
