Hi Farmgirls, Back by popular demand is the POSTCARD SWAP, this will be our 3rd year.
In this swap you will select postcards that either: - represent your STATE or, - are from one of your favorite VACATION spots.
You will send ONE postcard to EACH person who signs up, and you will receive one postcard from each individual.
IMPORTANT: signing up means that you will need to purchase stamps and postcards and mail to everyone on the list. Last year there were approx. 45 farmgirls who participated.[/i]
Those who have participated in the past have enjoyed receiving these little bits of mail from many, many farmgirls all over the country.
SIGNUPS are open now, will close on MAY 21st. EMAIL ME YOUR: - Complete name and complete mailing address - a correct and complete email address (otherwise you won't get the list) - your forum name[/u] You will have ALL summer to get them ready and in the mail. MAIL OUT deadline is AUGUST 20th
You can get started by getting your postcards and stamps. You could also put your return address on them, either by writing it on or using labels. I will compile the mailing list and email it to all of you after the signup period closes.
If you have some photos of your state or vacation spot that you like you can get them made into really nice postcards at postcards.com
Let's have some postcard fun! CJ
This is one of my postcard collections and I enjoy reading through them and looking at the photos every now and again.

Posted - Oct 16 2012 : 4:37:44 PM Well, I got my last postcard yesterday. It is a nice old photo of the home town of Kristina and I LOVE it. Thanks so much. Didn't get card from THialand but hope Dutchy that you got mine. I'd be interested to know how many actually got thru to you. I also got a card from one of the gals I accidently sent one too. It made me smile that she took the time to send me one anyway. Thanks to all. Hugs, Joey

Posted - Oct 02 2012 : 7:05:06 PM Thanks Kristen, received your postcard today. Love history so that was fun to see an early photo of the city nearest you in the early 1900's. Saw the buggy in the picture. Life was oh so different then. Appreciate the advances and luxuries we have now but makes you wonder how much we lost along the way the way to the future? Thanks for sending it.

Posted - Sep 28 2012 : 12:54:26 PM Not only am I horribly belated in sending all of my postcards (the last ones mailed out at the beginning of this week - hope yours holds together on its long trip, Dutchy!) but I'm unforgivably late in thanking all of you wonderful ladies for your beautiful and much-more-timely-than-mine postcards. THANK YOU, ALL! And thank you for your patience in waiting for my cards - a lot happened this summer after I signed up for this swap, and you all and Ceejay were so kind and patient. I'm sorry about my long delay, and thank you for letting me participate. :)
