Ok if everyone is like me you have a million things on your calendar already for this summer! Weddings, open houses, reunions, ball games, etc! I want to host a swap for your favorite potluck recipe and any other thing that makes your potlucks easier. Examples: pot holders, pan covers, carriers, lables for your pans, the list goes on.

Hi Linda
I received my pot luck swap package today and I really love it. It had the cutest beanie chicken in it so I am already for my picnic. there were some neat books as well; Old Wives Lore for Gardners which had a page in it about getting rid of aphids on roses, It said to plant a single clove next to the rose plant and the plant somehow absorbs something from the garlic and the aphids won't go on it...so no spraying the aphids anymore. It said try this for one year with a group of roses in one bed and then spray all the others with your spray and see how the garlic works compared to the spray. In dry weather make sure you water the garlic so that the thirsty rose soaks up the stuff in the garlic.
Anyway I know I have a lot of interesting reading ahead of me. The box also had a Journal, Be All That You Are book of poems perfect for cards and paper art and also Gardener's Magic and Other Old Wives Lore, and not in the picture is a pack of Looney Tunes Stamp Collection notes of Tweety and the US Mail. I took a separate picture of that because I missed it in the box, I will put it up really soon. I also really loved the Tote, towels and beautiful card with pin. Thanks again Linda.

Oh Linda I am so glad you got it. I had a whole different idea to send you but it wouldn't fit in the box and then I found the travel kit and it closed up so neatly I just had to send that with the other things in it. So have fun with it. Lets see I sent the tongs, the towel, the pot holder, I don't remember the blue thing, refresh my memory of what it looks like, otherwise have fun with it.

Darlene I received your package today and it is so cute. I love the travel kit. I travel some with my sisters and we are always bringing new things to show off how cute we can be traveling. This will work so perfectly and the coasters and the sandwich cutter. And is the hand made blue holder for cooking potatoes in the microwave or something else. Sorry I just don't know but everything will so perfect for a potluck. Thank you.

We just moved and I am pretty unsettled. Better wait for the next one, still not out of the old house all the way. I am pretty sure the American Sewing Guild Houston is www. asghouston.org and they have a bunch of free pattern links for potluck stuff. Etsy has one for reusable bowl covers. I will make those someday!!
